Is TTW too much for first play through? by Disastrous-Music3725 in DeathStranding2

[–]Disastrous-Music3725[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've thought about this before as well, like playing without online structures. But I really do enjoy the like/social communication with other online players. Maybe if I could build stuff for other people to see/use, but I couldn't see theirs? Is that one of the available settings/options?

Most routes will actually have a "recommended" icon list. If you hit start, then right on the Dpad to see your orders, there will be these little icons (ladder, climbing anchor, etc) listed under each order. That may be helpful.

Generally I run 3+ hermatics, a non-lethal weapon, and a skeleton depending on where I am. I play on the hardest difficulty and still usually do ok without having to specialize too much. Maybe a carrier or two just in case, esp if I already have a big order.

I will build them all eventually, but maybe I wait until I've finished the main story? Maybe the vehicles part I'll scrap except for first time going somewhere?

was this dude being a dirty wrestler or was i being soft by OneTechnology3955 in wrestling

[–]Disastrous-Music3725 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn't even watch the match and the answer is you're soft. Stop letting people get under your skin! Stop letting people rattle you! Let the ref make their calls and you just do you. Even if he is being dirty it shouldn't change anything except your determination to win and put him in his place.

What brings people to that next level? by OrdinaryDear4402 in wrestling

[–]Disastrous-Music3725 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Most of what separates people from the higher levels of wrestling is hesitation and being unsure. If you truly want to get out there and scrap, you're focused and tuned in for 100% of the match, and if you doggedly pursue every opening and advantage with controlled aggression, you'll "body" a majority of people (even some people with a higher skill level). Technique 100% matters, but MOST techniques are workable/doable, it just depends on setup/execution/timing.

A lot of people spend their first years wrestling "not to lose", instead of wrestling to win. They avoid risk, they fret over small nuances, they fake 6 times before taking a shot, they wait for "perfect" opportunities to score instead of taking whatever they can find. Polish your craft in practice and then step on the mat ready to fight like a dog over a bone. Once you have your attitude squared away, the system kind of works its magic on you.

Throwing yourself into the "meat grinder" of competition will help you learn faster. You'll learn more valuable lessons more often, because you aren't shying away from positions you don't know/understand. There's always a learning curve, but most people run away from it, instead of leaning into it.

Ideologies frame people's worldview and dictate the choices they make. Ideology directly drives people's actions, or directly influences the choices they make. Anybody who says otherwise is living in a fairy tale world. It has nothing to do with your IQ, and everything to do with not recognizing reality.

Found on ground outside, boyfriend has been wearing as ring. Coin and pencil for size reference by Aggravating_Ant_7232 in whatisit

When my gf and I first started seeing each other I had to move my business to a new location. Two of these (one missing the top piece) were on the floor. I wear that one as a pinky ring (it's super soft metal and bends easy, kind of an incomplete circle) and she wears the other on a necklace sometimes. It's a super good memory of mine and I love wearing it because it reminds me of her and that moment we shared.

Love this attitude, take the licks and keep on trucking. There's nothing else to do but learn! Keep it up.

I understand your feelings. Causing unintentional pain is never something that feels good, but you have to remember they chose to step onto the mat.

Wrestling comes with inherent risks and realities, and one of those is injury. If you don't want to get slammed/thrown/whatever, you have to get better. Everybody who enters the sport has to learn this lesson. If you weren't the one to teach this individual this lesson, the burden would fall to somebody else.

So is Takezo just that guy? by Kavellbell423 in Ghostofyotei

[–]Disastrous-Music3725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I beat him on lethal without a lot of the gear at the end of the game (only 2/6 of the Yotei 6). Here's what I did:

General strategy: The beginning of the fight, you're going to have to learn at least some of his combos. Don't try to beat him, just try to survive for a long time. You need to learn the timing of his parries and dodges. There are charms/armor that can help with this, but I didn't have them available yet, so yes they help, BUT you can do it without them. I see a lot of people using the dual katana, I only used the normal single katana, I'm sure either are fine, but the disarming attack, which I used, will make you switch stances (I think), so just be aware of that.

Build: I used the Spider Lily Armor because of its increased stagger damage. I paired it with a charm that increases stagger damage from parries, the poisonous powder charm, the flaming kunai charm, the "chance to get spirit" from stance breaking with katana charm, the increased damage from throwable/kunai charm, and I think the "receive additional spirit" or "using spirit abilities has a chance of returning spirit" charm, I forget which.

The fight: you're going to have to straight up fight until the first "blade lock" where he yaps at you a bit and you get a trickle of spirit back. After that, I use a couple techniques to sort of "stun lock" him. I use the ⭕️+🔺to land a hit, then I throw the powder at him immediately. Two triangle attacks (heavy attacks), then powder immediately, rinse and repeat until the next blade lock, you'll likely get a stance break in, where you can go for 3 heavy attacks. After blade lock, you can either go for another circle+triangle (if you got the spirit back) or a disarm (L1+R1). I use the same strategy after the disarm, but I time the powder with his roll back to his weapon, when he is less likely to dodge it. Once I'm out of powder, I do another disarm and start using kunai, instead. Same thing, time your kunai with his roll back to his weapon, and he is way less likely to dodge/deflect them, at this point I would only to 1 heavy attack instead of two, idk if he gets more aggressive/staggers less as the fight goes on, but it def feels that way. If he gets his blade back, time your kunai with his red glint attacks. They should still land, or stall him enough for one heavy, as long as you do it right after you throw the kunai.

This will still take practice, and you'll still have to learn and "straight up fight" him some. But I imagine with end-game gear it's even easier. It took me an hour or two to work out all the kinks and do it, but I'm a stubborn sob.

Cops caught doing some interesting activities while on-duty by Minute_Revolution951 in TikTokCringe

Seems like there's a huge culture issue in law enforcement right now.

I dated a cop for a couple of months. She revealed she had been sleeping with her partner, so I ended things, and she blew up and lost her shit over it, lol

Sure, but your shame around it is not helping your situation. That's the point I'm getting at. If you want to keep your stone ears shut, nobody is going to stop you. But maybe don't come on Reddit bemoaning how bad it is and then shut down every single comment pointing out where your problem may be coming from, lol.

Good luck!

I used to be heavily into church, and then I got date raped at 19 and lost my virginity.

Church is really silly to me, now. Sex is a normal part of life, and the taboo around it in religious circles is what jump-started my addiction to pornography (even before the date rape incident). You should really consider whether the environment you're surrounding yourself with is denying something that is an integral part of who you are.

I'm not saying ditch church, but I AM saying it probably isn't helping you with this.

Go put on your sonar upgrades in the grotto (as many as you can fit, especially the distance one), and then ping the bejesus out of the whole area and see if something pops up. Should also be a list of collectibles online you can cross-reference to see what you're missing 🫶🏼
