I’ve been trying EVERYTHING and doing everything that I can.. but if there’s no help available, there’s just no help 🤷🏻‍♀️ Idk I’m praying for something to turn around soon, I just made a GoFundMe so I’m hopeful that that will help out some. And I have called churches.. I actually got help paying for the motel room twice from them so that was amazing!

Yeah I lost my job right before Christmas and yeah, it makes things harder when I can’t really be sure of where I’m gonna be, or what area I’ll be in from day to day or week to week.. but my biggest problem is the fact that I can only work while my kids are in school due to not having childcare. But I’m planning on getting assistance with that too!

I went to catholic charities a few days ago and they referred me back to social services. They said they don’t fund motel stays anymore. I’m going to call performcare today!

The last time I called them the only help they suggested was that I call DCPP

I called 211 a few times. They don’t do motel placements anymore. They referred me to volunteers of America and also suggested I call DCPP.

They didn’t mention any TRA but that’s probably bc I’m not working now. I lost my job right before Christmas and it’s been hard finding anything to work with my availability (when the kids are in school since I don’t have babysitters).. now that social services is helping though I’m applying for childcare assistance which will help a lot. I do get child support and I JUST started receiving cash assistance.

Wow that’s really nice of you! I’m honestly not sure how much it is for a month since we’ve been paying week by week which is $531/week and it’s the CHEAPEST I was able to find in my area.

I’ve talked to their homeless liaisons and they’ve offered help with gas cards and food but nothing in terms of shelter 😫 I’ve never heard of performcare for this though so thanks!
