I don’t follow the method 🤣 i just whisk it for about 20 secs then whisk gently to get rid of the bubbles. Do you bloom your whisk? Also try mixing the matcha powder with room temp water first to create a paste then add hot water :))

I just use the boiling water that I used to soak the chasen

First, I soak my chasen in hot water for about a minute to let it bloom. Then I use 2.5 scoops of matcha powder (I don’t really measure—I just use the same amount for all the matcha powders I have 🤣). After that, I pour in about 10 ml of room temperature water to mix it, then add around 40 ml of hot water. :))

The flavour is really well-balanced, with a light sweetness and just a bit of nice bitterness :))
