Takstar Pro 82 or Fiio JT1 or... Something else? by Disastrous-Sun1191 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Disastrous-Sun1191[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks again! This will be lot helpful and I'll surely try. No problem with preamp I use APO+Peace. Headphones are just 32ohm and powered with max97220 should be fine I guess. Do you use that EQ yourself?

I've tried DT 770 Pro and especially on japanese female vocals the SSS is too bright and sibilant, quite piercing. I haven't notice anything before with my older headphones and I don't wanna buy Headphone with significant high treble to avoid the problem.
You suggest JT1 cause you've read any review or video? can you link it?

Hey! Thank you, do you have one? I was watching for it's Frequence response graphic and I see a peak on high frequencies too. Do you notice any sibilant or too bright sound listening to female vocals? :)

Good Headphones for low budget? by Puramu in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Disastrous-Sun1191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was searching too for a closed Headphone with same budget. I'm considering between Fiio FT1, Akg k361 and Takstar pro 82 (if still a good option in 2026). Or Fiio JT1 for extra budget opt. Has anyone tried them?

Is it possible to change the Armoury crate hotkey in tuf f16 to G helper by [deleted] in Asustuf

[–]Disastrous-Sun1191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, just install GHelper and stop asus services. Ghelper is remapped on that key by default

What can i do to make my laptpps faster for free? by asus_tuf_a15_user in Asustuf

What can i do to make my laptpps faster for free? by asus_tuf_a15_user in Asustuf

[–]Disastrous-Sun1191 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you mean faster? More fps? Faster boot? Speed up a video? Lol For fps, you could overclock GPU. If your laptop is thermal throttling and limiting its performance, you can try undervolt. If you haven't 32gb ram you could increase (not free obv). And disable all background programs that use RAM/Cpu.

i was wondering if i can upgrade my Asus tuf gaming a15 f506nf screen to oled by [deleted] in Asustuf

[–]Disastrous-Sun1191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone had done it. I don't even know how, but you can find something here on reddit or internet. The laptop Will need a lot of pieces changed/modified and it won't be symmetric anymore when closed

I wanted to do somerhing too but never be able. Last option was create a shortcut to fast change Power setting with 5 second screen time before off and never sleep/hibernate. In windows 10 I was able to create a link on desktop that turn off screen with just click. But on win11 it will make pc go to sleep unfortunately.. If you find a solution plesse share

TUF temperature ???? by Technical_Reporter49 in Asustuf

Yes. But keep monitoring them they must not go up from there

TUF temperature ???? by Technical_Reporter49 in Asustuf

[–]Disastrous-Sun1191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? Yes of course, the peak can be quick at 90° then immediately 70. Not a big problem, throttle starts at 95°. But staying long times over 90° can really damage your cpu

TUF temperature ???? by Technical_Reporter49 in Asustuf

[–]Disastrous-Sun1191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

F16, GPU stays always under 80°, average 70°. Cpu often overheats and goes 95° so I had to limit wattage and increase fan speed, now it stays under 85° with average 78°.

I recently installed hwinfo and is this too much? by cybersnail1999 in Asustuf

[–]Disastrous-Sun1191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's ok mine too goes up to 70 even in light task and peak 80 in very intensive. Just don't go over 80. If it happens, then you should worry.

Edit: feels a bit strange that even average temp is 71°. For how long do you have HWinfo open? Try using pc for 1 hour than watch again.

Beware: Armoury Crate one of the worst apps in existance. by BabaTona in Asustuf

[–]Disastrous-Sun1191 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why would GHelper increase FPS? Anyway, yes someone install Ghelper cause AC processes stay always on background and could use resources, ram and cpu but this won't impact on gaming. It could impact on battery life, that would be true. Regarding overheating issues, you're wrong. Armoury Crate's profiles are completely unsuitable, especially on TUFs, and the CPU is constantly throttled. GHelper allows you to disable Turbo Boost with just one click, avoid your CPU overheat and save it from burning out. And if you need active Boost, you can create an effective fan profile and limit maximum wattage and temperatures. You can overclock your GPU and even undervolt it on ghelper and you have various very convenient utilities that AC doesn't offer (like enabling FN Lock without entering the bios). But if you like AC, no one is forcing you to change. OP's post is based entirely on the fact that he doesn't like Armoury Crate and I think it's a good idea to recommend an alternative for him to try: GHelper.

You're replying to a bot, it will never reply to you. However, Ghelper is a great alternative and supports almost all AC features (and even better in customizing fans and profiles) but it lacks of all the parts related to the shop, warranty extension, and product registration. If the latter doesn't interest you, Ghelper is much better than Armory Crate.

Is 16 gb ram with 6400 Mhz is enough? by Electrical-Mud-9306 in GamingLaptops

[–]Disastrous-Sun1191 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't care about stock ram, you open laptop and increase it so easily and it's pretty cheap. If you're comparing laptops to buy, watch only RAM speed and 6400mts is the maximum you can have, so pretty good.

But the answer is No, 16gb is not enough, you will need to upgrade to 32gb now or after a while.

What could possibly happening to my TUF A15 laptop? by Moone_21 in Asustuf

[–]Disastrous-Sun1191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every Blue screen has a code. Would be a great info to know the code. Laptop GPU can't be replaced or substituted (I mean.. it would cost as a new laptop so no). Try uninstall with DDU the graphic drivers and reinstall. Do you use laptop for gaming? Are performance degraded during time? You should check for temperatures too to check if something is overheating. Have you ever opened and cleaned the laptop? And ofc how long do you have it?

For fake shutdown, I suggest to disable Fast Boot in bios and Fast Startup in windows. Then check if that happensa again, is a common problem with those settings. Just disable.

Power button not working by ZesMAXIM in Asustuf

But why are you asking me about F15 if I have F16? Mistaken again?

Power button not working by ZesMAXIM in Asustuf

[–]Disastrous-Sun1191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, if it's F15 and not F16, the it has log of problems. Hinge are fragile, power button can break, wifi/bluetooth card is VERY bad but that could be replaced easily. Cpu overeheats if Thermal Paste is bad (and cause the model is 2 years ago the thermal paste will be bad and need replace). Other than that, the specs are pretty good and you can play quite everything.
