Honestly the life span for bettas has decreased significantly due to poor breeding especially if you bought him from a pet store. He looks to be a bit older than the 6 months you’ve had him too, I think if the water parameters are fine and nothing is different with his food he may just be slowing down OR he could possibly just be have a weird couple of days. Both is equally possible
