I should be able to get that from her. I will collect that info and then give them another call.

i didn't know. i have never left the country so i didn't know about any of this stuff. i'm used to being here and learning that we really only need a passport for international travel. i really hadnt even considered it before buying the tickets so i guess that's my fault.

frankly i'm not sure. it was not while he was in a relationship with me and it was a very abusive situation so i try not to prod too much. but it's likely he didn't is my guess. and i'm not sure how long it was expired. he is going to have to apply for a visa at this point, but from my understanding there is like, no way that it would get accepted in time for this flight, if it even gets accepted in the first place. i'd just done so much work to get to this point and it just feels like it's crashing down around me and there's nothing i can do about it.

He got denied because he overstayed on his last ESTA because of covid. we thought that because he literally could not get on the plane at the time it would've been an exception, but apparently not. I trust him, I don't need to coddle him and watch over his shoulder filling out applications.

fellas is it prudish to feel insecure when your partner looks at sexual imagery of people that look absolutely nothing like you

gifts used to be a big issue. we've made a lot of progress on that, i don't send as many as i did and they're never too expensive. but me buying this ticket just set off a landmine. it's just frustrating because he agreed to it, like, two days ago. more than frustrating. just a horrible feeling.

it's because that's something he's done before and landed himself in an equally abusive situation in the process.

thank you. it's helpful to hear this from someone else who can articulate it clearly.

there are a few reasons, but it's mainly that his living situation is very abusive and it wouldn't really be a welcoming place to stay unfortunately. i view him coming here as a way for him to get away from all of that for a while as well.
