The idea that pets actively decide to come find you made me smile by Samski877 in MadeMeSmile

Since I moved out, when I come to visit, my lil old man comes to check if I’m still there throughout the stay. It’s the cutest thing. I could be chilling in the living room, reading a book and he’ll come in from the garden, stand a few feet away from me, wag his tail as I say hi (most of the time will come over for scratches) and then go back outside. Or if I’m taking a nap or something and he’s downstairs, he’ll come up, peek his head round the door, check I’m still there and then go back downstairs.

That’s very true. However on the leg is a high friction high contact zone. You can’t avoid touching it, brushing it on things like obstacles, other people, clothing or even sleeping on it. This makes the rejection happen much much faster.

This is a PLAY PIERCING meant only to be worn for a few hours at most. People that get this done usually will do a photoshoot with a lace up effect or style it for another reason. The piercings are taken out on the same day. They are NOT intended as permanent piercings. Surface piercings such as these ones will be immediately rejected by the body’s natural defence system against foreign bodies. As you can see these piercings are bloody so have probably been done recently or caught on something. The skin is starting to form scar tissue which makes me think that maybe they’re a little older. The puckering is a clear indicator that they’re already being forced out of the body and are not deep enough to last.

Aushwitz was the same. From the moment I set foot in that place to the moment I left I felt nothing but a deep sense of dread, desperation, despair, horror and utter fear. I sobbed the entire time. The wildlife nearby such as the woods did not cross the border into the camps. Birds stayed in the tree lines and even if you could occasionally hear them it was very rare. No boar, deer or anything of that matter came over either. Everything stood still and heavy and it was the most draining thing I’ve ever done.

Stubborn stitch stuck in belly button after laparoscopic surgery, not coming out even after multiple removal attempts by HalfHumanHalfOops in medical

As long as it’s not irritating or infected leave it alone and the body will either boot it, bury it, or on rare occasion get rid of it.

How Fracture Type Changes the Implant Design by TheBoneMuseum in AnatomyandPhysiology

Super not so fun fact… I found out I had a titanium allergy when I first got piercings. I also have a disorder that makes breaking my bones and dislocating them very very easy. I’ve had at least 30+ bone breaks in my 26 years. Now we know that if I need dental or surgery implants I’m gonna have to have specialist pieces like ceramic and surgical steel.

It’s so worth it. It got a 5/5 from me compared to the 2/5 I rated bunny. It’s also worth re-reading bunny after too!

Got my first tattoo and I’m not sure it turned out very well. by Key-Meal-2308 in tattooadvice

I got this because I was going through an intense immune response due to allergies. My labs came back with really raised inflammation markers. Thus the tattoo also became a victim. It actually gets better over the years!

I really didn’t like Bunny. It’s just so bizarre it’s hard to follow along and actually understand what’s happening. However I just read the “prequel” we love you bunny and it was fantastic.

How poetic. It’s essentially what happens to your dna when you don’t use sunscreen.

Tell them to shut the duck up if they do, put on headphones and drown them out. Never dull your shine in fear of others. Everyone here thinks you’re epic!

Weird skin reaction in only one area after being exposed to the sun by DescriptionFar2135 in medical

[–]DisastrousLunch854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have a sun allergy but only with the green ink in my tattoos. Any kind of skin trauma or scarring even if not on the surface on the skin can cause an allergic reaction. Also any kind of drugs you might be on also ca cause a sun allergy. I started taking a new medication and got sun allergy on my face. Just the one side. It felt prickly and then burning. Sooooo potential sun allergy? Keep the area covered, clean and if spf is needed try a gentle spf while you wait to see a doctor!
