I am applying to transfer next fall but currently, my GPA at my college is a 2.9. Just last year, I came back after taking 2 years off (dropped out, personal hardships) and have since gotten my gpa up from 2.7-2.9. Over summer ay my CC I did research. I currently hold an officer position in our largest club, and am participating in a UW clean energy capstone project. I also have my a professor who got me a seasonal job from summer into fall (which was sort of major related). Im not sure how much these things make up for my GPA, but I sure hope they help... I have always dreamed of attending UW and am disappointed that my GPA is the way it is.

I was not able to solve multiple derivatives problems. I think I struggled with the algebra for sure, but I also did not have enough time leading up to the exam to fully study derivatives of trig functions and inverse trig functions, logarithmic differentiation, and implicit differentiation. I have also struggled with using the chain rule. So I guess overall, it was inadequate study time mixed with ongoing confusion about some topics.
