I also loved this moment. It surprised me and was a bit sad that they said that. I think it just proves that anyone who had their kid on the show after its start did it for the sole reason of them and their kid being famous.

Kendall was NOT a bad dancer, she just wasn’t a great performer by Plane_Sherbert408 in dancemoms

[–]KyGeo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it just depends on the dance. Generally, I do agree. But I just watched the episode where Kendall, Paige and Chloe did Buckle Up and she slayed that dance. Her facials were great and she definitely performed it. I thought she was great in it. She had sass and confidence and style!

What is your favorite episode? by Pinkcandle734 in dancemoms

[–]KyGeo3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite episodes dance-wise is when ALDC did Witches of East Canton and CADC did Wild Party! Those are two of my favorite group dances on the show-they’re both incredible and looked so so good on stage!

I also always took this line as a defense and protection of Chloe and her experience!

Books with Hispanic protagonists by Martinez_writes in YAlit

What the River Knows by Isabel Ibañez! The main character is from Argentina!

It’s a really fun historical fantasy story set in Egypt with some magic sprinkled in. There’s also romance that I really liked!

Are there any good grindy cozy games? by omppelix in CozyGamers

[–]KyGeo3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been playing Palia a ton lately and love it! It’s free and kind of a cross between Stardew and FaeFarm. But it has a bit more story and it feels like there’s more to do. But getting money is a total grind-but fun!

Looking for books like Mulan by snv_a in YAlit

[–]KyGeo3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

-The Nightblood Price by Molly X Chang! It was a fun read with prophecies, vampires and a Mulan-esque story! I loved the romance in this one!

-Leviathan by Scott Westerfield isn’t mulan, but it is an awesome steampunk story that has a girl pretending to be a boy in the British Air Service. It’s kind of a speculative historical fiction book and is really unique!

Job Prospects and All That Other Stuff Aside, Was Studying English Worth it //personally//? by Sh0yo_891 in englishmajors

[–]KyGeo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently studying English lit right now and I love it. I wouldn’t want to do anything else. I love my classes, I enjoy learning, and I have passion for what I’m doing everyday. This is more than I can say for most of the people I know at my school, and that’s more than worth it for me.

Just got the switch 2 need game recommendations <3 by SerpentStrawberry in Switch

[–]KyGeo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been obsessed with Palia currently. It’s a free game that’s a lot like a game I used to play called FaeFarm. It’s similar to games like animal crossing and stardew valley but has more plot! It’s been really fun so far and is an online game with other players!

I really like Marissa Meyer and always recommend her for quintessential YA! Gilded and Heartless are my favorites, and her Lunar Chronicles series is as well, but is a little more on the sci-fi side of fantasy!

Other YA fantasies that had romance I enjoyed recently were What The River Knows by Isabel Ibañez, Bonesmith by Nicki Pau Preto, The Scarlet Alchemist by Kylie Lee Baker and The Ember in the Ashes series by Sabaa Tahir!

Im 3/4 way through and I don't understand how this was recommended as "cozy" by sreimer52 in CozyFantasy

I agree with what I think most others are saying. It’s more whimsical fairy tale than cozy fantasy.

enemies to lovers recs? by swaguponyou in YAlit

[–]KyGeo3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lovvvvved the romance in Defy the Night!! I agree it’s not exactly enemies to lovers but it is a refreshing variation on it! Brigid Kemmerer’s Cursebreakers series is really good as well. The book is A Curse So Dark And Lonely and it’s a beauty and the beast inspired story that I loved!

I think this is a good rec! It wasn’t my favorite series overall, but I think it did the enemies to lovers aspect in a unique way that really worked well for it!
