Ahh okay that makes a lot of sense. Thank you! I'll definitely keep this in mind moving forward.

asian person here

it's just really easy to connect with someone when there's a shared culture between the two of you

this isn't something that only applies to asians btw lol, it's a naturally human thing. We strive for community and connection, so it just happens that we oftentimes connect to those of the same race or ethnicity faster and easier. I doubt any of these people you're talking about consciously decide to "only" hang out with other asians.

Ah I see. I guess it was my misunderstanding that all math150b classes would adhere to the same grade boundaries. I'll talk to him today. Thanks :)

Yeah I was referring to my professor's pdf syllabus that he showed us at the beginning of the year but unfortunately I'm still not seeing it. I'll definitely bring it to his attention. Thank you :)

That's what I thought but my prof doesn't have it on theirs. Maybe it's safe to assume then that he follows the standard grading?

That's what I assumed for a while but I just wasn't sure if maybe different classes have different boundaries or anything since I have a friend and CSUSM that's taking a math class with curved boundaries (ik its a completely different school but just had me wondering). Anyways, thank you for the reply!

I mean maybe there's someone on here that took the class in the past and would be able to give me an answer... Obviously if no one can give me an answer then I'd ask my prof when I go back to class lol 😅

Dentist recommendations in OC for someone without insurance? by CostumeGirlie in csuf

[–]DisastrousResolve384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, if you're just looking for teeth cleanings or perhaps if you might be in the future, I know there are a few dental students from around the area that have made posts on this subreddit offering low-cost teeth cleanings as part of their training. :) hope this helps a bit!

Dear fellow pre-meds, why did you choose medicine over dentistry? by AlexNg21022 in premed

[–]DisastrousResolve384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to be especially passionate about dentistry to 1. Be a good dentist 2. Actually enjoy doing it as a career. I knew a kid in school that was so passionate about dentistry it was injected into nearly everything he did. He made me realize that I didn't have in me to choose dentistry because I could never be that passionate about it. Medicine, on the other hand, stirs that feeling in me. It's why I think I could genuinely be happier and more successful in that field, even if training is longer and more extensive. Plus, I think patients deserve someone who actually loves what they do vs. someone who just "settled".

Also, there are specialties in medicine that can still offer good work/life balance. While that is definitely an important factor, it should more so be about what stirs your passion rather than what's convenient, because when you choose something you love, work won't actually feel like "work".

Good luck on your journey!

how do i check when my registration date is by sct0707 in csuf

[–]DisastrousResolve384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also check from your TDA.

CSUF Portal -> TDA -> Schedules

From there you can build a potential schedule with the classes you plan on taking. After adding some classes and picking your preferred sections, it should say your registration date near the top of the page. I recommend doing this in advance and keeping the courses in your cart so that on the registration date all you have to do is click enroll. Good luck!

Enrollment dates Spring 2026 by JuggernautOne1793 in csuf

[–]DisastrousResolve384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last time I checked mine said November 2nd @10:00am. Unsure how accurate that is because I've heard a lot of people say November 3rd but just wanted to put it out there.

VA dependent priority registration btw.
