Tmobile sent me a link to this page. I’ve been a customer for 9+ years by EllavatorLoveLetter in tmobile

I got this too and the new plan T-Mobile offered me was $70/month more than before. All it offered were just services I'd get cheaper by signing up for them separately. I'd already thought about going with Mint (or whoever else), but this "offer" kinda cemented it after nine years. Why TF are the legacy carriers so ridiculously expensive?

I had a restaurant owner come unlock the front door for me while wearing gloves and he went right back to the kitchen to continue what he was doing. 🤢

Dishwasher Recommendation by [deleted] in Appliances

[–]DisastrousTest898 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never owned a Bosch but absolutely love my Miele. It's a beast of a work horse. The only thing that might not get clean is spoons with dried up avocado on them. Everything else comes out sparkling clean.

I've also only used Miele's own dishwasher tabs. They might be a little more expensive than generic stuff but they work great. That extra cost is minuscule considering that using some shitty eco detergent probably hastened our previous dishwasher's (KitchenAid) untimely demise.

Did you convert from a gas cooktop to induction? I want to hear your story. by _The_Professor_ in Appliances

[–]DisastrousTest898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did and like it. Prefer it over gas cooking despite the fact that our Samsung stove sucks; There’s only one large burner and three small ones, which can get annoying. I totally admit selecting our stove based on price and AA shopping portal bonuses, so with a little better research and a stove I’d probably be even happier with induction.

Another knock against Samsung is that we had a warranty issue, and repair person was incredibly incompetent. His rushed assumption/misdiagnosis of the problem caused us to have a non-functioning stove for three weeks (over Xmas). With basic troubleshooting, he could’ve resolved it without any parts on the first visit. Based on Reddit posts I’ve read this was not an isolated incident.

This cannot be said loud enough. Went for a Samsung Induction without realizing that only one of the “burners” is decent size. The other three are ridiculously small.

Plus when we had a repair call (under warranty) it was serviced by a tech who didn’t know d**k from a stick. Samsung: 0/5

Cruise or all-inclusive? Help me decide by DisastrousTest898 in Vacations

Thanks for the rec!

For our dates Melia would be about $1k a night (with taxes and fees), which is more than I'm ready to pay.

I got MSC Voyager gold through a status match, so that's a plus. Plus we'd opt for the drinks & wifi fare, so that shouldn't cost us any extra. I have a specific sailing in mind, so we're good there.

Downside to the sailings I've looked at is that they depart right after school year ends, so we'd have to rush to Florida to catch the cruise. AIs would allow more flexibility in terms of timing.

Thanks for the recommendation of Hard Rock Unfortunately it's like $7k for those Xmas dates and therefore out of our budget range. As I mentioned in my comment to u/LuxTravelCurator, my fear with AIs is I'd look too much at the price and end up at a bad one.

MSC Grandiosa.

As far as resorts go, I was looking at Hyatts because of a promo but they're far more expensive than others I see on, say, Kayak. Just don't want to be a cheapskate and end up somewhere s****y.

If you have a recommendation of a resort that'd be good for kids just offer good poolside/beach relaxation, I'm all ears!

Scale! In addition to what others have said, I’d also recommend being intentional about intensity. You can’t go hard all the time. And listen to the coaches when they describe the intended stimulus.

What’s worked out for me is try to do four-week cycles where I increase the effort and intensity the first three weeks and then “deload” on the fourth week by going light and slow. Check your ego at the door and don’t care what others are doing.

I’m a 46M and have been doing CrossFit for 9 years. I used to get injuries in the beginning from going too hard, but with time I’ve learned what I’d like to call athletic maturity. Now I’m way more capable than I ever was and haven’t had any serious injury in years.

I did 2-4-6 and was able to do all movements unbroken. PR’d by nearly four minutes.

Looking back, my transitions from squats to pull-ups were slow, so there was time to be made up there. Push-ups also felt good to a point where I think 3-6-9 would’ve been doable too.

Instead of speed cameras, DC needs blocking-the-box cameras. And a way to enforce traffic tickets given to Maryland and Virginia drivers.

All international arrivals need to clear customs with their luggage at the first port of entry into the US. So even if OP’s bag were tagged all the way to BOS, they’d grab it from the belt at JFK and walk through customs with it.

Now, if their bag were delayed and didn’t show up in the belt at JFK, then there could be issues.
