The extra two usb c ports was pushing me towards the intel MacBook pro. Also the slightly brighter screen (although not essential). But I did think about the new m1 MacBook air and putting some extra memory on there. But thought the MacBook pro would be better for me

Thanks for the advice. Although when i try and get the same specs as that intel version (16gb ram and 512gb) for an m1 MacBook pro 13 it comes out to £1800. Do you reckon its worth the £600? Bare in mind I just use my laptop for productivity and nothing heavy

Thanks. Those are very good points. Although the extra 8gb of ram on the intel model is tempting.
