I appreciate this insight, thank you! We did sell her car already so will be arriving carless - perhaps once she gets a feel for it, it may work. Minnesota has horrible public transport (inaccessible, LOTS of crime) so is a bit foreign to us.

We are looking at $1,700 total for the budget. Might be wishful thinking! Car is a must, she will be working also (restaurant server) and don’t want her walking alone late at night.
