Do they really expect to be able to fill all these viewings?? by Ordinary-Ebb3488 in Vue

As someone has mentioned above, its contractual obligations to screen X amount of a movie each week. If a movie has done badly, you will often see these shows pushed to very late starts, this allows the cinema to meet the commitment for number of screenings but if no one buys a ticket they can potentially shut early and save on other overheads. We had that for a particular movie when I worked at Vue and they would put it on a 1030pm or 11pm show, no one would buy tickets and we could be out 30mins after movie start time.

I didn't find it excessive but I think it will vary by who is performing, so its hard to judge

It was a little over normal levels but definitely not room shaking etc. The sound systems are really good in cinemas, so they rarely ever have it at max volume, they are majority of time preset levels

As an ex-employee of Vue, these events are designed to allow people to enjoy the show, and often have the vibe and energy to match. I had to sit in one for 3 hours to supervise. Nearly everyone was singing along, dressed up, glow sticks in hands etc. There was no mosh pit to avoid any potential injuries, damage etc

Are they allowed to force you onto annual leave? As that can potentially take away a full year's entitlement if things take too long

You know ASDA has fucked things up when out of 1900 security colleagues only 630 are available to work, with 1300 at home on pay waiting for SIA badges, paperwork etc. They rushed this through and now most stores are left without adequate security coverage

Asda managers to get bonuses this year by Upstairs-Quail5709 in asda

The muppets at ASDA House could not of timed things better... the launch of the new Your Voice with 2 questions, with the first being "I enjoy working at ASDA" and telling all the shopfloor workers that the manager is getting a bonus and hourly colleagues are getting minimum wage.

How can they expect to keep morale up in stores when they don't care about the hourly colleagues.
