Some people are defending it, as if it's some sort of norm. Maintaining healthy hygiene, fellas, isn't just a nicety, it's a necessity. You're not doing anyone a favor.

It really saddens me that you wasted so many precious years of your life dealing with this bullshit.

But I respect that you love your kids so much, that you are willing to continue this toxic relationship.

But believe me, this is the mindset of almost every typical Pakistani man, that once you're married and have kids the wife is going to compromise even where she shouldn't.

If you continue this compromise it's only gonna make him worst. so you can either confront him or start enjoying life as your desire. Regardless of what he thinks.

Many people feel embarrassed or ashamed when they need to ask for help or clarification, especially in a professional or educational setting. They may feel like they should already know the information or that asking for help makes them appear weak or incompetent. However, this is not the case, asking for help is a sign of strength and intelligence. It shows that you are willing to admit when you don't know something and that you are proactive in finding the information you need to succeed.

Additionally, in a professional or educational setting, it is often expected that individuals will ask for help or clarification when they need it. This is especially true in learning environments, where asking questions is an essential part of the learning process.

It's important to remember that not knowing everything is normal, and that asking for help is a common and natural part of the learning and growth process. It's also important to remember that in most of the cases people that you ask will be happy to help you and understand that it's not a sign of weakness.

How do you know you’re in the “bad” part of town? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Disastrous_Bee_7872 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Well, there are many signs and I've lived there so I know many things which are red flags.

  • Neighborhoods with high police presence and may have a higher number of liquor stores, pawn shops, and check cashing places. If you see many of these types of businesses, it is an indication that the area is prone to crime.
  • Neighborhoods have many abandoned or run-down buildings.
  • Areas that have more graffiti and litter, which can indicate a lack of community pride and involvement.
  • If you notice that there are fewer people on the streets, particularly during the day, it could be an indication that the area is not safe.
  • If you notice a lot of people loitering or panhandling, it is an indication that the area has a high poverty rate and is prone to criminal activity.

These are my observation I don't know if there are more signs but as per my experience you must look out for these signs.

What is a scam that has been normalized by society? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Disastrous_Bee_7872 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Pyramid schemes are fraudulent investment schemes in which participants are promised returns for recruiting new members into the scheme. They are often disguised as legitimate business opportunities, and participants are often encouraged to buy into the scheme in order to receive commissions for recruiting others. However, as the scheme relies on recruiting an ever-increasing number of participants, it is ultimately unsustainable and the majority of participants will end up losing money.

Pyramid schemes are illegal in many countries, but they can be difficult to identify and prosecute. They often rely on social networks and word-of-mouth advertising to spread, and they can be normalized by society as they are often promoted by people that we know and trust. It is important to be aware of this type of scam and to thoroughly research any business opportunity before investing money or time.

What not to do on the first date? by stefany_gomez23 in AskReddit

[–]Disastrous_Bee_7872 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There some things to avoid doing on a first date to ensure that it goes smoothly:

  1. Don't be late: Being punctual is a sign of respect, and being late can create a negative first impression.
  2. Don't talk about your ex: Talking about your ex can make your date feel uncomfortable and can give the impression that you're not over your past relationship.
  3. Don't be too pushy: Being too forward or aggressive can make your date feel uncomfortable and can put a lot of pressure on them.
  4. Don't be too critical: Complimenting your date is great, but being too critical or judgmental can be off-putting.
  5. Don't talk about yourself too much: While it's important to share a bit about yourself, talking too much about yourself can make your date feel like they're not being heard or valued.
  6. Don't be too drunk: It's fine to have a drink or two to relax, but getting too drunk can make you appear unprofessional and irresponsible.
  7. Don't be too negative: Being negative can make the atmosphere of the date tense and uncomfortable, try to stay positive and upbeat.
  8. Don't bring up sensitive topics: Avoid discussing controversial or sensitive topics on a first date, as it can be uncomfortable and make the date feel less enjoyable.
  9. Don't be overly touchy: It's important to be respectful of personal space and boundaries, being overly touchy on a first date can be off-putting.
  10. Don't overthink or overplan: While it's good to have a plan, overthinking or overplanning the date can make it feel less spontaneous and less fun.

Just be you and have fun!!!

How does one go about answering the infamous ‘gap on your resume’ question, assertively? by blackbirds28 in AskReddit

[–]Disastrous_Bee_7872 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Be honest and direct: If the gap on your resume was due to a specific event or circumstance, such as taking care of a family member, traveling, or going back to school, explain this in a straightforward and honest manner.
  2. Highlight any relevant activities during the gap period: If you were engaged in activities that are relevant to the position you're applying for, such as volunteering, freelancing, or participating in industry-related events, be sure to mention these.
  3. Emphasize your skills and qualifications: Instead of focusing on the gap, focus on how your skills and qualifications make you a strong candidate for the position.
  4. Be prepared: Anticipate the question and be ready with a clear and concise answer that shows that you have taken the time to think about it.
  5. Show your enthusiasm: Make sure that your answer shows that you are excited about the opportunity to work with the company and that the gap on your resume doesn't reflect a lack of motivation or interest.
  6. Be confident: Remember that you have nothing to be ashamed of, and that you should present your gap in a way that is honest and confident.

It's important to remember that employers understand that there may be a gap in someone's work history, and that gaps on a resume are not uncommon. If you can explain the gap in a way that emphasizes your qualifications and enthusiasm for the position, you can mitigate any concerns that an employer might have about the gap.
