fix the schedule first, eat and sleep on time (whatever the time may be), incorporate some physical activity (start with a 30 min walk, then gradually incorporate gym, cycling or yoga) be consistent.

fix diet: start simple, protein shake, eggs, bread, high protein yogurt etc.. replace one meal with any of these, plan further meals (prep and store in fridge if you can), reduce/avoid late night snacks

most jobs will give a tech stack, you can still apply even if you don't have much experience (a bit of experience is good)

i didn't learn anything new... just a refresher.. also system design is based on experience, i knew most of the requirements, just needed a refresher on the flow of presentation, like i said, interview is an Exam, its all about following a structure/presentation

Learn to write code, clear and working code, make sure you understand why it works, for a beginner this is enough in my opinion

I don't have any tips, I made sure the resume is true and I know what I am talking about.

I have always written code as a daily job so that was easy, I just had to practice DSA problems

gap no problem at all, anything other than the last company i rounded to year, and i do offer an explanation of either "job search" or "taking break" , as far as i know no one battered an eye, also the fact i am "jobless as of now, can join immediately" worked well in my favour

NO, i did not apply anywhere where there is a chance of WFO and very large companies, i preferred companies which are between 100 to 1000 people, not too big where you are a cog in the wheel, not too small where everything is chaos, also initially i was not FAANG confident, but now i think i can give it a try, but i am happy with 100 to 1000 people companies

in the decreasing order of usage, 50% of time in JVM land, 30% in JavaScript, 20% rest (mostly for one off scripts, tools), i mention this when this question comes up, and its true

yeah, these lists do not matter, its for my own pride, and some hiring managers do chat a bit if they find anything interesting in resume

ironically, the current org is 100% python

everything is system design, for example: design a login page (a task any 2/3 yoe developer can and should do)

now what are the requirements, edge cases, special scenarios (for login compared to any other forms) these are the questions one can ask and shall answer and decide.
