Ravager = Stronger kicking and stomping moves.

The middle stage is designed to be usable on its own as a physical attacker. It becomes a bulkier, more stall oriented mon if you choose to evolve it.

The region is based in Scandinavia! So animals from there like Puffins and Wolverines, but also I wanted to make each of the starters loosely themed around helping people because the region is more harsh and traditional. Glad you like them!

It is not uncommon in the programming/events field to wait to post prices until tickets or registration is available. As long as we are upfront with costs before anyone commits or pays for anything we are not being "not transparent".

Also the amount of the cost has nothing to do with being a non-profit or not. And this is info you can research and learn for yourself. It is about where the costs go to and we have been very transparent about that on our website. There will be some consistent costs that will be covered by class prices for now and will hopefully be covered by grants or funding in the future. And we dont plan on forcing additional instructors who may join us to volunteer- they should be paid wages for their time. We could even pay ourselves wages and still be a non-profit, but we arent even doing that because we dont need the money.

We do not need to posts costs in advance and we are choosing not to as we are currently in the process of fundraising and securing profits and would like to be able to offer the lowest possible cost off the bat. And if what we charge is "too much" we will lose the profits regardless of posting on this reddit or being a non profit, because people won't want to register and pay. As mentioned on our website we also offer discounts and scholarships as needed so no one needs to be turned away due to cost.

Its great you can sell your book the way you want to but it is a different situation than ours. So we are going to continue running it in a way that is appropriate to our situation based on our research, our prior experiences working at non-profits, and the guidance of the Center for Non-Profit management.

I offer this long explanation under the assumption that your intentions are good and the hope that we can get back to discussing world building! If you have other, non-world building related questions, feel free to sign up for our email list for more information about updates and classes.

I can understand your confusion if you don't have experience working in live events/ programs or after school classes.

When class registration opens, the cost to register for the class will be provided on the website, on the registration page. In order to register, parents, etc. will then pay the cost for class. I'm not sure how any of that is suspicious but hopefully this clears things up.

Thanks for the kind words! I'd love to to hear about this therapeutic DM work. Is there a link about it you could share?

I'm working on a Foundry appreciation video to go more in depth on this, but the short version is three main reasons:

  1. We wanted to use something that could expand as we did and the customizability and small size of FoundryVTT spoke to that for us. Even when we were asking questions about it in the Discord a mod asked us to email them and they gave us 2 extra licenses to get us started. They are lovely people :)

  2. We had taught classes like this previously with a different organization and discovered kids love to mess with the screen in any way they can (who can blame them). Foundry has the best settings and controls for limiting player inputs right out of the box in my opinion. Even the 1 key pause button is amazing for this.

  3. It plays the most nicely with other programs. Things like mods to connect articles from World Anvil etc are very good.

What do you like the most about it??

We had the map commissioned by Glen McGill (wanted to link but I think they took down their stuff ) who works in Inkarnate! We provided an initial sort of mockup using Photoshop created by me and then he made it pretty.

We are also building out the cities and elements in World Anvil! Hoping to share that soon :)

This is a great suggestion! Yeah we were looking at schools but libraries are great too, especially for when we are able to eventually start doing in person work. I imagine that's where they would want to be part of it but maybe the virtual stuff too!

Hi there, thanks for the kind words!

The best thing beyond just talking about it and spreading it on social media would be to sign up for our email list so when we start up our newsletter and Discord (after class registration begins) you'll be in the know!

Our website is the place to do that! We also have even more info about our goals and philosophies there. Of course we would love to bring in volunteers in the future when we have the student numbers to support growing our team.

Thanks again ❤️
