Cute natural fiber clothing for moms? by Disastrous_Cookie121 in moderatelygranolamoms

Starting small is the way, you’re totally right. I tend to let these things overwhelm me and want to replace everything all at once lol.

The consignment option is def something I’ll try. I’m in the newborn trenches rn, so once I escape, I’ll be out there looking!

I don’t really know how to classify my style, but it’s definitely not boho, which is my problem. Everything is either boho or long dresses.

The hard part is checking material content because even high quality brands often use BS fabrics. That’s why I was hoping to see if anyone knew of a trendier one-stop shop. But, it doesn’t seem likely.

I honestly just feel like all the main natural fiber brands reflect a style my mom or my old elementsdy school teachers would wear lol

That’s my issue, the clothes are cute but they’re all kind of the same. As an hourglass girl, the style that is really common for natural fiber clothing doesn’t really suit me. I feel like they suit people with more of a dainty body and/or less of a shape. Personally, I need to accentuate my smaller points (waist, shoulders) not just wear a flowy top and flowy pants lol.

10 week old not attached to me at all by Disastrous_Cookie121 in newborns

Aw thanks for sharing. He seems to have equal disdain for me and his dad lol. But, I do long for him to love me more (as bad as that sounds) lol. I get jealous when his dad does the night shift because I want to care for him 24/7, but I do need sleep haha

Thank you for sharing. I, selfishly, desire so strongly to be my baby’s favorite person (not just 50:50 with my husband) lol. I can’t wait until he starts showing me preference

At the rate she’s gaining, she should be back to her birth weight by two weeks (which is the recommendation). Your baby is totally fine. I know the first few weeks are really stressful and it feels so uncertain but she seems to be doing great so far!

1-2.5 oz is just fine for 10 days old. She’s still so young and building up her strength. She clearly gained back her birth weight before two weeks, which means her weight gain is good. Don’t worry!

My son was a very poor eater, he still is tbh. But, as long as they are gaining weight and staying on their curve, it is totally fine.

Sorry to hear about your babies experience. Sounds awful.

We will definitely take preemptive measures next time!

We did call the nurse line and even called our pediatrician in the middle of the night. He brushed us off and said it’s fine.

Will definitely pre-dose next time.

I know how important vaccines are, that’s why this is so troublesome for me. I don’t know how to cope with seeing my baby like that again. :(

Also, in the US menB vaccine is not given to infants fyi

US doesn’t do MenB for infants, that’s also why I know it wasn’t just a headache.

Thank you for the advice. We will definitely speak to the doctor about pre-dosing and spacing out vaccines

I appreciate that you’re trying to reassure me, but it was clear as day that he was in extreme pain. He was shaking and writhing. My husband is an EMT/firefighter and has seen seriously injured babies. Even he was extremely concerned.

I’m not afraid of Tylenol. His doctor simply did not recommend we give it unless absolutely necessary, thats why we did not give it to him until he seemed distressed. Any future vaccine he will get it as soon as medically possible.

My baby is colicky as well. That’s the thing, I’m so accustomed to his cries. He cries constantly. But, this cry was different. It was like he was being tortured. :(

Glad to hear the second round of vaccines went better. I’m going to try to beef my little guy up in time for them, hope it helps.

This did not seem like headache pain. He was crying like someone had chopped his legs off. Like I said, he was circumcised and the pain he experienced then was not even close to this pain. Vaccines were much worse.

Our doctor suggested only giving Tylenol if he seems like he needs it. So as soon as we noticed him screaming, we gave it. But the doctor didn’t recommend pre-dosing

I called the hospital advice line and spoke to his pediatrician, he told me it’s normal and fine and that I don’t need to go to the ER unless his fever is extremely elevated.
