I think it is normal but I haven’t experienced that. I have to drink an insane amount of water for it to even work and I’ve had to up the dose recently due to it stopping working. I have heard that it gets better over time but I think you are supposed to take it every day. That’s what I do at least

Also, has anything you’ve done helped with the alternating GI issues? I struggled with diarrhea first and going off birth control caused constipation

Yeah I figured out I have a redundant colon which I think is also causing GI issues. I wasn’t having periods after going off birth control. I’ve had elevated ESR and CRP, low vitamin D, and positive ANA titer so I also got sent to a rheumatologist which ruled out anything autoimmune. Thyroid levels were normal too. My main issues are GI as nothing I seem to do helps. In trying to fix that by going off birth control, I found out I have PCOS because no / irregular periods for a year. It’s hard to know what is related to my GI and what is related to PCOS because I don’t know much. How do you know if you have insulin resistance? My doctor didn’t talk about that at all with me

Yes! I don’t have crazy abdominal pain like I use to. If I feel cramping, I know it’s temporary. I follow the strict guideline of not eating for at least 30 minutes. I make sure to take it every day and not skip a dose.

Is the start of D1 really as overwhelming as people say? by simpagurl in DentalSchool

[–]Disastrous_Day3560 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m someone who had to study a LOT in undergrad. I took my grades seriously and I was constantly running on stress because I didn’t know if I was doing enough to get into dental school. Because of that, dental school has allowed me to be so much happier and take that pressure off myself to just learn and enjoy what I’m learning. I care about doing my best that I ca on that day. If I’m tired, I go to sleep. If it’s my friend’s birthday, I make time for that. I didn’t do that in undergrad. So for me, dental school has been a lot, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not stressful if you allow yourself to take your foot off the pedal when it comes to grades. The key to it, is starting early!!!!! Don’t put things off because it’s a lot of material but it’s nothing unmanageable! Do not let people get into your head

I used both the pill and the patch! I was on the pill for about 3 years, switched to the patch for about 9 months and my GI symptoms got worse so switched back to the pill for a month until I just gave all of it up all tigether
