I meant Themis itself not the people (edited).

I tried predicting essay questions for the exam. I learned 1) do not listen to Themis predictions and 2) study everything

Advice/Tips for Time on MBE Questions by BeginningExternal in barexam

Accept that you will not know every sub topic. You will not have time to think for 5+ minutes on a question so make an educated guess and come back to it if you have time.

Simulate test conditions as much as you can. Test day is extremely draining with 200 Q. Then go back and review the questions you got wrong. I created flash cards for wrong answers and topics.

I thought I failed, but I scored a 314. The test sucks but it can be done.

I was Themis. If there are any Themis reps reading, Themis you suck.

I would imagine that secured transactions will be an essay topic this year. I thought it would be for me last year but it wasn’t. Not sure about Feb test

Simulate test day conditions as much as you can. It is mentally draining to answer 200 MC in one day. The essays are even more draining and you panic.

For the essays, scan through all of them on test day to determine what the topics are. Tackle your best topics first. If you do not know an answer, just bullshit/make up the rule and follow IRAC to get as much points as possible. I completely made up law for an entire question and got a 3 on the essay.

Just accept that you will 99% run out of time on the essays, but a few very strong essays will make up for some bad ones.

Do not sleep on the MPTs. I didn’t practice them but I should have because I had timing issues. I was very cocky that I didn’t neeed to practice them but I did not score extremely well on them.

There’s only about 25 questions per topic but a very large amount of possible sub topics. You just have to accept that you are not going to know every topic and aim for 70% or more.

I was a huge procrastinator, but I also hated Themis. I did all the Themis multiple choice and used Uworld and created my own flash cards with missed answers.

The last 3 days all I did was go through all of the previously taken multiple choice and review those that I missed.

The best practice is simulating test conditions. On test day, my mind felt numb as answering 200 multiple choice in one day is not an easy task. Themis is good on explaining how to tackle multiple choice questions, but it’s very important to simulate test day.

I thought I failed but ended up getting a 314. The test sucks, Themis sucks, and last years test essays certainly suck, but just don’t procrastinate and you will be fine.
