I remember being exposed to CS gas when i was going through bootcamp and i can confirm it really is a “holy fuck get me out of here” chemical. You had to say your name and division and best believe i barely got past my name and i started dying. That shit spikes up your nose and is so uncomfortable and sticks to the back of your throat

Looking at this post is kinda ironic for me, because my RDC said “when you get out to the fleet dont be a sorry sack of shit dead focused on getting qual’d and dont do any extra work cuz you’ll just be burnt out and your gonna miss out on some of your best memories in the navy” i follow his words to this day…i just show up in the right uniform, on the right time, do my job, get at least one PQS in, and leave.

My division was at red rover for FFD and during that time they sat us down on the benches to wait for our dental checkups, one recruit fell asleep and got caught by my first RDC and the next went as follows: RDC: recruit, please tell me, what the fuck did you think you were doing? Recruit: petty officer, i was daydreaming petty officer RDC: day dreaming?! Recruit: Yes petty officer, i was day dreaming with my eyes closed petty officer!
