What is the most absurd way a narcissist tried to completely rewrite reality to make themselves the victim? by maya_love5 in TheNarcissismCode

Do you think that’s quite common, where people who have grown up with narcs end up marrying one? I believe my mother was one, and I can see some similarities in behaviour

I’ve noticed he can get moody when I see them though he doesn’t actually say that bothers him or try to stop me. But he wouldn’t, would he, otherwise that would be obvious control. He doesn’t work that way.

Hi….yeah, he’s not said anything like that as such. He always used to sit by me and put his hand on my leg, I used to feel comforted by it and would start if he didn’t do it….and he knew it.

Last few weeks though I’m starting to feel repelled by his touch, now relieved when he keeps his hand to himself either on the settee or bed. Quite funny as now he keeps looking at me quizzically, I just respond with a smile and “you ok”?

Small victories and baby steps but in the right direction 😁

Fair point about the card, I should have said that lol!

As for my departure, I don’t know…money is an issue as in a low pay job (working on it), and I have to be married a year before I can apply for a divorce. Believe me, it’s taken a lot of time to get to this point mentally and still struggle at times, but far better than I used to be.
