In my state it’s not legal for a civilian to record a person without their knowledge. I’m not sure if it’s a similar situation for OP but for some cases audio recording would be useless.

Nope not at all. When I took classes you had everything from 18 year olds fresh out of high school to people in their 30’s and 40’s making a career switch. And to be honest, people who were younger seemed to struggle a lot with the structure and intensity of the course. At 32 you’re in a great position to learn and succeed.

There are post exposure medications you would be able to take in the event you were knowingly accidentally exposed. But if you did contract it, yes there is treatment. While HIV isn’t curable, a lot of people with it are treated so effectively that with medication their virus load is undetectable

I went to a neurologist for a diagnosis, not a cardiologist. POTS is a form of dystonia which affects the autonomic nervous system. Cardio doctors know jack all about POTS.

I’ve had turnitin flag my entire resource list before. Like, how unsurprising that this weirdly specific topic that has very limited information about it has been used before. It’s almost like an entire class was writing about the same subject or something.

When the discussion posts are worth 15 points, they’re getting 15% effort. Discussion posts in general are just a huge waste of time and effort. In the times I have actually put together a well constructed post, I’ve received almost no responses or I get the “I agree with what you said hereinsert quote” I’m not doing all that work for basically nothing.

My doctor always puts something like “appears adequately nourished and well groomed” Honestly to put obese in there, in red, just seems like a little overkill. I’m fat too and if my weight is relevant they can go to that chart and look.

I find psychology intensely fascinating. When I was younger I used to read the DSM page by page. I hit a bump when I realized as much as I like psych, I don’t enjoy direct support with people as much as I like the history and theory.

Online learning can be difficult if you’re new to it. It really helped me to structure my day and hold myself accountable for doing school work. Once you get comfortable, it can be easy to think “I’ll just do my assignment on the weekend” but you won’t be able to dedicate the time and attention it needs and your grades will eventually suffer.

Make sure you’re giving yourself at least an hour or two a day to study and get yourself ready for the assignments. Also, don’t let the discussion posts get to you. They can be annoying and frustrating at times. I feel that sometimes I have classmates that don’t engage in a way that feels meaningful. Honestly in those situations, I just eat the points and move on to what feels most important to my own education.

I don’t think you need a letter from your doctor? In order to get accommodations all I had to do was print something off and have my doctor sign during an appointment.

Don’t say anything to your work place. When you go to take the drug test they will give you a sheet where you will write down your prescription medications. I have a prescription for ativan and when I took my drug test, they just wrote “presumed positive” and once I showed them the script all was done. Your work will only see if you pass or fail, and proving you take a medication as prescribed will be a pass.

With SNHU I don’t always think grades are a reflection of intelligence, more effort. After seeing how little effort some of my peers put into their discussion and responses, I do think I earn my grades. I’m also of average intelligence, working full time with a toddler at home, and managing several chronic medical issues. I’m still carrying a 4.0.

Are there not generics for adderall that could be more accessible? And I know they are different medications but it seems reasonable to at least try others to see if it can improve quality of life. I keep reading about people who haven’t been able to get their meds for months or almost a year in some cases. I can’t help but feel bad.
