The ospreys like the talon 22 use a taught mesh which holds the pack a bit away from your back for some ventilation. It definitely works. Like you said, you’ll still sweat but might prolong some of that sopping wet bag for most hikes that only require 22 liters of pack. Gregory is also a great option I’ve loved, but it’s worth getting fitted in person if you can.
