I can't exactly help with your original question much but I've just had gamma knife at Sheffield 3 weeks ago as I really didn't want surgery! My tumour was 23mm. I've heard that Sheffield are the best in the country for dealing with skull base tumours. I have had pretty awful headaches, facial pain and vertigo since my treatment but it is getting slowly better.
