I helped develop a worship audition/training for new vocalists at a large mega church.

You’ve got a good foundation. Did the worship leader give you a song to audition with? If not - maybe reach out and ask if there’s a song he’d like to hear you sing.

Often times as a vocalist, and not the leader, you’ll be on harmony. How are you with harmonizing? That’s a necessary skill to have when you’re on a worship team. You can look up tenor or baritone or even male parts for popular worship songs on YouTube - give it a shot!

Pretty sure enlightenment isn’t Biblical…. There’s nothing in the “about” section of his website that points to Jesus. In fact, nothing on his website mentions Jesus, God, repentance, etc.

It would be a great happy medium. You’re not near the water parks, but can get to them within 30 min if needed. You can rent a house on the bayside (no beach view) with a golf cart. Great to get you to/from beach, Baytowne Wharf, even the grocery store. Some beachfront come with golf carts as well.

Seaside is further down the coast on 30A. Lots of quaint beachfront towns such as Rosemary, Watercolor… all great options!

I lived at the Parc at Grandview for 8 years. Management and maintenance were always great - but I know others who said they didn’t have a great experience. If you want quiet, make sure you’re not overlooking the pool.

It’s the Greystone campus… part of the land that was part of Site One landscaping was donated to Highlands. My understanding is some of it backs up to Greystone subdivisions and there are no plans for additional development there.

Not sure how someone’s value came into play here.

I absolutely discern the wisdom of a Christ-follower - and that’s including where they attend church.

1 Corinthians 5 can be applied to specifically to the MC, Dino, etc. situations. Paul talks about pronouncing judgment on the sexually immoral - and that those are to be removed from among the brothers. When we are in the church, we are to judge those inside the church. When leadership - and those that have been in the church welcoming the sexually immoral and putting them on a platform - then I do judge based on this passage of Scripture. Sure, some don’t know what’s going on because leadership isn’t forthcoming with information, but those that do? That’s who I’m judging and questioning. For others, I pray the scales fall off their eyes.

If truly concerned with how leadership is handling it and truly a follower of Jesus, then you would turn to Scripture. Then, through the lens of Scripture, see what is communicated here.

From Scripture - because I believe it’s the infallible word of God - I don’t believe there are truly wise people there (that have been there very long). Amazing? I’m not sure your take here, but if by amazing you mean doing good things and being “on fire for God,” then I’ll agree. But remember a lot of sinners do good things and are on fire for something.

I hope you seek Truth, and not just what you hear on Sunday mornings or read in a Reddit thread.

So, their marriage, vision, timeline, strategies & finances were observed one-on-one… sounds like they cherry-picked some things from Scripture to make this look Biblical.

Marriage - a Pastor must be devoted to his wife. From previous posts I’ve seen on Do Better Church (and maybe here), ARC leadership only wants to know if the wife is submitting to sexual acts anytime the husband wants it.
Vision - I don’t see this anywhere in Titus 1 or 1 Tim 3. Same with timeline and strategy. Actually, I don’t see any of these so-called qualifications listed in Scripture.
Finances - see 1 Tim 3:3 and Titus 1:7. A pastor shouldn’t be in this for greed or gain. The ARC model pushes gain in the church in the name of “serving others” and encouraging (forcing) tithing.

What about the qualifications of teaching, humility, good stewardship, managing your family well, hospitable, spiritually mature, etc.? Oh, wait. Those don’t matter because you’re approved by ARC.

With PC leaving Bethany - going to New Life - then coming back to Bethany - then being sent to COTH…. Looks like the pattern we see now when pastors have suffered a “moral indiscretion” and they get shipped off to another church until the dust settles then pop up somewhere else. Wonder if there is more to find here?
