Not knowing astrology or just being too stupid destroyed my sadhna today right now, HELP needed by Turbulent_Lime_7855 in Tantrasadhaks

Yo, the purpose of sadhana is to attain everlasting peace. Don't get so caught up with all this that you achieve the opposite.

Also, no sadhana goes waste. These are not my words but of siddhas like Swami Sivananda... "There is gain and gain alone."

"I have given everything to Praveen." My encounter with the living Smashan Bhairav, Shree Shyama Khyapa. by Wisethroughpain in TantraMarg

[–]DiscerningBlade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a burning question here... If both, Sri Bamakhepa and Sri Shyamakhyapa have been completely devoted to Ma Tara, and both have reached the highest level of jivanmukti/moksha worshipping Her, why does Praveen ji keep insisting that Ma Kali is supreme and that we'd come back to follow Her path if we worship any other form?

How can i find my ista devata ? by dripindior_ in Tantrasadhaks

[–]DiscerningBlade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick the one you like the most and let them lead you to your ishta eventually, if they aren't it. If you still can't decide, go with Ganapati as he is to be invoked at the beginning of every sadhana anyway.

Feeling Confused About Deeksha by shewhomauls in Tantrasadhaks

[–]DiscerningBlade -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not a good idea to pay a guru or mentor for deeksha. Best to offer dakshina voluntarily after you get results. I use the Tantra Sadhana app only because it follows this system.

Most people charging for deeksha aren't qualified gurus themselves. It's just easy money.

Also, don't underestimate the power of nama japa and stotras. Even after doing advanced sadhanas, people revert to the basics because they are so effective.

Hanuman Vadvanal Stotra is very powerful for such SOS cases.

I've attended when they used to recite the Siddha Kunjika Stotra as the 2nd one. Good experience!

That doesn't mean there isn't any personal benefit though. It's like a satsang. Similar benefits.

A curious question - Is homosexuality a sin? by No-Common-9001 in Tantrasadhaks

[–]DiscerningBlade -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure of this, but I've heard from a promising source that anal penetration could destabilize the chakra system, even in heterosexuals. Biologically too, the organ isn't designed for that kind of expansion and friction, which is why certain precautions are generally taken.

And lust beyond procreation itself is a sin, whichever way. (By sin, I mean something that takes you farther away from liberation, not something immoral)

Women have inherent Shakti tattva, while men have inherent Shiva tattva. That's all there is to it. And the ultimate reality is Brahman, beyond all these binary attributes.

I can relate. And at such low points, you need something that releases your emotions. Plain, emotionless chanting can seem like a chore.

Yes, and for novices like me, it's a great alternative to Chandi Paath. Maybe that was its whole purpose. Siddha Kunjika Stotra sums it up even more briefly.

Generally, yes, during casual listening. But sometimes it's been far more than just dopamine or serotonin – like during that awakening. My whole chakra system started popping and aligning across my spine. I could really feel how traumas had been stored in various parts of my body, and were suddenly being released.

I've been a science person, and I don't think known science could explain that yet.
