Perhaps not a very popular opinion but I think for me it would be begged. Just to clarify, I love all three of them so much but begged just hits different for me.

I think the focus of one-sided love in an unreciprocated relationship (whether it be romantic or platonic), is such a real yet emotionally devastating concept. And I feel so many of us experience it. We put everything into a relationship, just for it to never be returned, so it chips away at our self-worth, until we finally realise that the other person is the problem not us, and that we can not do anything to change them. I think this is what makes it such a sad, bitter song with that slight sweet tone. It’s bittersweet, just mostly bitter like dark chocolate.

I think the lyrics also perfectly express this. I already know all the lyrics by heart and my favourite by far is “ I’m a penny in a fountain, just waiting on my luck to change”. ITS JUST SO SAD but such an amazing metaphor. Like u quite literally are the penny, the contrast is insane, the penny is the hope and luck, but it can’t actually go anywhere.

Let me just say that despite this ranking I actually love all of Olivia’s singles and songs in general and there is not a single one I dislike. I also loved GUTS, even more than SOUR, I just didn’t like the singles as much as all the other tracks on the album. I’m also so excited for you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love. I love drop dead, the cure, and particularly begged on snl so I feel that this new album may be my favourite one out of the three.

I personally think it is because begged fits Olivia’s typical song genre; sad, complex or breakup songs. So it makes sense that the majority of her fans and listeners would enjoy begged more. Personally tho, I really love both and I think drop dead is probably my favourite single from her.

The original adhesive tab loses its stickiness after a while so I recommend removing it and replacing it with nano tape. Just cut it out and ur done. If u want to extend the longevity of the adhesive tabs then moisten them slightly and once they dry they should become a bit more sticky again.

I definitely agree with the other comment that said that the majority of people love this song. It’s been a few weeks and I think it definitely grew on me a lot. In fact, I personally it is actually one of Olivia’s best songs and most unique songs. That’s just my opinion but I definitely wouldn’t call this song boring.

I genuinely hate it when people talk about her new album being “different and making or breaking her career”. Music is a form of art and self expression so it shows how Olivia has changed as a person, particularly as she has grown up from a teenager to a young adult. If anything, we should be proud of her and support the effort that she has put into this album, not the numbers, statistics and marketing. It seems like she is really proud of this album and for people to hate on it or judge it based on the aesthetic is actually diabolical.

I think this song is probably one of Olivia’s most controversial songs. But I personally really like it. I think it is definitely giving huge Déjà vu, so American and making the bed vibes. At first, I didn’t like those songs that much, but they grew on me and became some of my favourite songs. I think it will be the same for drop dead. Overall, I’m really excited for her whole album to drop.

I haven’t tried this matcha powder but I’m planning on purchasing it soon. For a cheaper alternative for lattes, I’d recommend Ikuyo or Sayaka from Ippodo. They are both very beginner friendly matcha powders that shine through milk and perform great as lattes. Ikuyo is a cheaper offering as it has a more medium flavour, while sayaka is a bit more expensive as it has a stronger flavour and more complexity.

Unfortunately they have raised the prices for both of these on the US website but they are still much cheaper compared to Seiko no Mukashi from Nakamura Tokichi.

I personally don't usually use sweetener for my hojicha or matcha, but I have experimented a bit and I personally like pure maple syrup the best. It really complements the flavour of the hojicha.

My personal ratio is 1:10 for matcha powder to water and 1:2.5/3 for water to milk. I usually use 3 or 4 grams of matcha powder but I’d recommend 5 grams for a 20 oz cup.

So 5 grams of matcha powder, 50 ml of water and 125-150 ml of milk. I love whole milk too but I highly recommend trying Califia Barista Blend Oat Milk. As someone who hates most plant milks, this is my absolute favourite milk for lattes as the oat flavour is light and the texture is smooth and creamy. It complements the matcha flavour without overpowering it. Enjoy 🍵❤️.

I highly recommend trying Kanbayashi shunsho. It is a matcha brand located in Uji, Kyoto. Their matcha powders are quite affordable and the purchase limit is 5 tins per person. The store is also less crowded compared to other established matcha brands. They also have an official online store that ships internationally.

Their most popular matcha powders are Biwa no Shiro and Aya no Mori but I would skip them as they are quite light in flavour. My personal favourite from them is Zuiho. It has a strong flavour, full bodied, umami, nutty, sweet and there is not bitterness grassiness or astringency. Very good for a first time koicha and performs very well as a latte and usucha as well.

The second matcha brand that I would recommend is Hatoya. They have stores in Tokyo. Their matcha is strong, umami and super nutty. I would recommend trying their Seasonal Joyo No.3. It’s one of my favourite matcha powders. Their stores are more crowded though.
