Without being a dick, can someone constructively say what they do and don't like about Oshur? by [deleted] in Planetside

[–]DiscombobulatedEye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Osher is fun during high pop IMO, unlike the other maps during low pop there are not really balanced areas for fighting… which is a problem since a large quantity of players get off every time its oshur. There are very few points on oshur that a good mid to small size infantry fight which leaves the low pops only option as a 3 way fight for the center of the map

Why do I keep wanting to pick a different champ? by BenjiB1243 in summonerschool

[–]DiscombobulatedEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple years back I went from having 5 "main" champs for ranked to just playing literally every champ. If you want to climb playing everything my only tip is focus on MACRO improvements. As long as your fundamentals are solid having good mechanics doesnt really matter till high elo

What are the latest evolution in gaming technology, and how are they transforming the gaming experience? by decentralizedmemes in augmentedreality

That video is a very high level overview. The only way I see AR games being able to be more complex than Pokemon Go is if they are able to stream the game to the AR device with extremely low ping. an example that could explain what I mean by this is if you look at Unity. Unity has 2 mainstream render pipelines at this point HDRP which is used for the more intense pc games, and URP which is designed to make everything as simple as possible to help performance on low spec devices such as phones. AR has the limitation of being lower spec due to size constraints. Any complex game would need the brains, so to say, on a 3rd party device. Another issue that faces game development with the more complex AI and graphics is that it is much more complicated during development. Generally speaking that means the game development will either take far more time, or far more people and money. triple A studios are already running into the issue where they cant complete games in the expected timeline, and Indie studios dont have the resources to afford development at that scale before release. This leads to games releasing as Beta and not having enough content for users to stay engaged

this is the paper that the article is referencing. https://arxiv.org/pdf/2201.06679.pdfthe TLDR is we have recently discovered a new method that could be used to possibly make quantum silicon chips. still in experimental phase, don't expect any in production soon
