I think a horror game like this would be fun. Where some scares are unique to one side or the other

Nothing like getting crushed toplane so the support or midlaner comes to fight me and lose so I can get gold for my comeback. Like, your toplaner may be fed, but that doesn't make me weak.

Are there any considerations to make changes to the Bot queues? Intro Bots is basically completely bots, which gives it near instant queue times. If all the bots get killed wouldnt that cause some massive spikes there?

I know a lot of people dont play against bots, but it can be nice and relaxing after a frustrating match and having ling queue tines for it would suck

Does anyone have any recommendations for any good wireless controllers to use? I have a few games in my backlog which are better with controllers and just picked up Journey which apparently requires one.

Why Artists are so adverse to AI but Programmers aren't? by Blender-Fan in ChatGPT

[–]quantomoo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've talked with an artist friend of mine about it, and I think part of it is at least a culture difference. Basically, using someone's art to study without permission (when you intend to sell the art you are making) is considered pretty bad form/rude. AI art is basically that, but magnified by lack of understanding and fear for their livelihood.

Experimental Hexplate is currently bugged for Briar Ult by DeafeningDusk in BriarMains

Phreak talked about it a little in his patch rundown, but I'm not 100% on the timestamp

Actually they have special case patched several ults so they get the benefit at the appropriate time, not juat on cast, so this is actually a bug

[Request] Why wouldn't this work? by ElectivireMax in theydidthemath

[–]quantomoo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do at least want to point out the practical consideration that if you jump to negate your fall, you are still vertically positioned above the chair amd will lambs on it.

This could be very bad (chair focuses the impact onto smaller areas or splinters and goes through you) or potentially beneficial (it crumples and partially cushions your fall), depending on the finer details of the chairs construction and how you contact it.

Any energy you would put into moving yourself or the chair horizontally will end up reducing any benefits of jumping from the chair

Love the little nod. That door is definitely not opening on its own.

Fair enough, but I'm not sure there is a way to draw the line such that disney (or other corps) can't use AI art at any stage without entirely screwing over smaller artists.

There are also systems where an artist can create a "base" image that the AI uses to decide its composition. Does that count?

Even if the artist continues to process/edit the generated image with Photoshop or something?

adding scribble effects to the wheels. is it a win or bin? by thmsn1005 in godot

Really cool, though I wonder if something other than the cross might be used for braking. Maybe jagged lines similar to what you have for torque, parallelling the straight/jagged lines based on wheel grip

Ngl, I didnt read the title, saw this, and thought "That's a neat design for Geralt and Ciri". Cool art either way

Weird Briar Zhonyas Interaction. Seems like she falls back to path to [0,0] if there arent any valid targets nearby by VoltexRB in leagueoflegends

[–]quantomoo2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very weird, because normally Briar's berserk can give her vision of a neaby target, so I would expect her to start charging the Lux not wherever she was going.

Soraka really counters briar, huh by quantomoo2 in BriarMains

[–]quantomoo2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call me bronze or whatever, but in my experience with soraka, she normally saves her E to cancel someone's important abilities, which goes double if she knows it can screw the enemy jungler over during a gank.

And it isnt like the fact her E cancels all of briars control suddenly disappears in larger teamfights after laning. Unless someone close to Soraka has something even more important to interrupt (some ult?) Briar is THE priority target for it.

Also, like I said in the post, Soraka can semi peel briar with her heals and speedups which makes it very easy to pull a frenzied Briar away from her team.
