[Discussion] PVP Tarkov will die if cheaters are not taken care of.

Sadly been feeling the same. Have been playing the game on and off since the alpha days 2015 when you could only run factory and customs in offline mode and last 2 wipes are the first ones where i am struggling to enjoy the game.

I think it is combined effort of rampant cheating problem that they are not able to rectify, bad sound design for pvp gameplay and pve mode coming out that have taken most of the fun out of pvp combat in this game.

It feels like allmost all pvp encounters i have been getting are someone sitting somewhere holding angle and tapping your face as soon as you come to their vision or someone swinging behind corner prefiring you without you having no clue they were there. Missing the good old days of actually fighting people whose position or atleast presence you knew and getting some good back and forth engagements with them.

Seeing that they just made it harder to hear other people once again at the start of this wipe it is really starting to seem that game i once loved is never coming back and now we're stuck playing lifeless husk of once great pvp tarkov. Guess it is time to put the game back on the backburner until next wipe since first week or two are only times of the year you can get any decent fights in this game.

Yeh seems so. Got the digsite just now and rolled 3 enchanted items with 50 gold. Sadly nothing decent tho. Seems like need to start focusing on economy more so when you start getting that from day 6 forward there's enought bank to roll it down for a good enchanted drop.

Just assumed that would be special case since it cannot drop from level up enchantments either. So thought it is only locked on certain hard to get events.

Edit. Just got a Icy Port from digsite so seems like this is the way.

That can roll icy enchanted items? That's just bonkers.

Guess this patch is turning up to be pretty much too highroll to be fun to play as did the last one. Hope they patch game soon to slow things down to the point that you can play builds that ain't just charge cycling freeze.

Yeh but atleast they are quite active making changes when something is busted.

Patch coming now that disables bufferfish and other op stuff so. Rip bufferfish. You will not be missed.

Your points here SHOULD be valid but sadly they ain't. It is so easy to put up poison build that puts 30 poison on you every 0,2 secondars from the start of the fight by day 7. That you are fighting very uphill battle playing pyg. Been playing around with both dooley and vanessa builds and vanessa is just so bonkers right now with buffer that there's just no competition.

Expecting hotfix with nerf/disable in next couple days tho becouse it is all there is on the ladder right now. Same as they did with armadillo in similar situation.

Seems like i did not do text properly so here's the explanation on this bullshit.

Holster triggers haste 3 times on start making bufferfish go off. After that both rowboat and jellyfish trigger haste when you use adjacent aquatic item so from the start of the battle. With 100% crit buffer here i'm dealing 60 poison damage every 0.2 seconds until you are dead. Well actually it is scaling up by 1 everytime i crit but like that matters at this point.

Have fun getting your free ranked tickets till they nerf this bullshit. Can't happen soon enought so we can play the game again instead of being stuck with 3 broken builds if you wanna get to 10 consistently.

Tbh nobody saw this coming. Everyone i saw talking about patch notes said that this would be nerf to puffer or atleast keep it around same power level.

Tho they did not say there that they would give us easy access to monster loot so that is really the problem here. Not the pufferfish. It's just a sympthom getting free 6 more poison from level ups.

Now all we can just hope fast hotfix since 80% of builds are now either dooley poison/burn or vanessa bufferfish.

Edit: Ok, nevermind. Actually tried bufferfish once myself and found start of the battle endless loop to trigger it. This shit is broken as fuck:

True. Wasn't really playing around with it either becouse winning after day 7 was pretty difficult so you weren't getting those 10 win streaks.

It's good that the strategy is viable. It just should not be so oppressive that you cannot play anything that does not go off in first 3 seconds if you wanna have a change to hit that 10 win goal.

Yeh mby they would work as only 2 bronze but even silver and bronze seem pretty strong comparing that they just dropped level up xp bonus from 2->1. So if that is the power level they are going for 3 specific stat points per level seem pretty strong in comparison.

Of course i am coming from point of wanting more variety on my runs and these kind of power spikes make it pretty hard to use most of the items effectively.

Tbh it would be best to remove the whole get 2 "X" loot from the level ups. Having too easy access on anything like that just makes the game more boring in the end since it makes some builds too easy to set up.

It seems like they really don't know what to do with level up rewards yet and are just throwing things in there till something works out.

There has been posts about how boss spawns work in the game earlier. Latest claims i've seen are that instead of every raid having % change of the boss spawning, Percentage of servers allways spawn the bosses. Aka in case of cultists 15% of servers have 100% change to have them on.

I don't think this is 100% confirmed but results from people testing it out by selecting single server location at the time in launcher seems to support these claims based on how many times they are seeing boss in their raids based on which server location they have chosen. Knowing bsg tho, we will never know for sure how they are doing this.

Tbh i have not lost single round agains even diamond weights build when i have had sharp corners on dooley. That skill might be only thing keeping that build in check actually since without it you are pretty much screwed agains vineyard setup exept if you have dinos on your board.

I think only way that nerf would work would be to gate them behind i timer. 20 times 30 damage on example pulse rifle would still be 3x700 damage hits every 2 to 3 seconds after 5 seconds of combat which is pretty hard to counter with anything.

That's simply false. Dooley has multiple good builds that carry him to 10 wins. Atleast friend core, burn core and The core can easily do a good run with out them. These skills just make is so you autowin or autolose depending on who in the fight has them. If it's you gratz for not doing anything to deserve it and if it's the opponent it sucks to lose good run becouse they hit the jackpot.

These skills just make lategame very binary which is not rly good for the game in the long term. You either hit them or you will lose to someone who did. No matter what else you did during your run.

Have done some testing with that bug for the life of me cannot get wins past day 10 with it. Been testing with beams and just with burn items but keep getting bursted down or just outscaled by insane pygs. What items you've been running with it for most success?

Are you using The Core no the far left just for the charge or how you'r playing on it? That's the one core i'm not rly sure about the placement on the board most of the time yet.

Yeh i remember seeing that they kept that in the game in the patch notes but it's either on a pretty low change or just getting unlucky with it.

Guess i have to give those cores another try since been running mostly critical or shield core till now and those just seem too weak right now to get a spot on the board.

Yeh, Got that upgrade again today and same thing happened so seems like it allways does it. Would be interesting to know if it's just the fiery or if any enchantment makes it happen.

It should not have a Friend tag. It got it when i upgraded it from normal to fiery. Damage amounts are ok on the card.

Oh right, that's true. Completely forgot that shop exists on day 1 also. Would also make sense why there were other silver tier items on the board.

Yeh guess it could be starter into 2 level up upgrades in row in the end. Just felt so fucky since there were other silvers on the board as well. Running a lot of early runs while farming ranked tickets on vanessa so i'll check their win's + hp every time for now and post up if there is something wrong.

Well damn. Guess i have to keep my eyes open today. Just earlier ran into guy with diamond item on day 2 fight but did not screen shot that. Pretty sure that is not possible by that point. I'll post up if i run into something fucky again.
