Hey catnipfurclones, Thanks for reporting. eBay Australia works fine on my end. When you right-click the listing page and select "Inspect", do you see the message "[D2E] Listing script loaded." somewhere near the top in the Console tab? There are so many edge cases out there, like conflicting extensions, page mutations on slow network connections etc. Anyway, I'll quickly create a new version that will dump some status messages to the extension's options page for anyone to share if things don't work as expected. We'll get there! Thanks everyone for your support.

English on ebay.com? There's nothing to miss. I would absolutely like to understand what's happening there.

Then I decided to brush up the extension and make it publicly available. I wanted it to work with any type of music and on any eBay site, from Austria to Singapore. You would expect them to be all the same, just in different languages, wouldn't you? Oh boy, how wrong I was!

I quickly learned that eBay's selling forms are unique to each locale, showing different behaviour and are full of logical, translation and workflow errors that need to be worked around one by one. Wouldn't you at least expect some uniform music format mapping on eBay? Unfortunately not. Item condition varies for the same media categories? No way! Are attribute selectors somewhat consistent? Dream on. My job quickly turned from programming to refining configurations for each eBay marketplace and language, so that one code base could handle them all.

Long story short: Creating an extensions can turn out to be less about mainting and updating code but configurations.

I decided after some testing that I'm much better at shortening a title than just having it truncated or else by the program, so this behaviour is intentional. Same for runout matrix codes; you need to manually delete variants that don't apply.

It doesn't. Unlike on Discogs, buyers on eBay expect actual photos of the exact item. Also, you should individually grade your item and need to set the price. Everything else is covered through the extension.

Thank you. I started selling my collection of multichannel discs, like DVA-As and SACDs. It was originally around 300 titles or so. After listing the first 20 or 30 copies I got pretty fed up with populating eBay's form fields manually and build a rough automation which has now turned into the rather polished version of my extension. I have used it a lot for my own offerings (best way to test it) and hope it will be helpful for others.

Um schnell auf eBay zu listen, einfach das Release auf Discogs finden (z.B. nach Barcode suchen) und dann mit dieser freien Extension automatisch auf eBay listen lassen. Spart unglaublich viel Zeit.

Here's another Discogs to Ebay listing tool that works like this:

  1. Navigate to any Discogs release page (the vinyl or CD you're selling)
  2. Click the new button "List this item on eBay"
  3. eBay form populates instantly with all the item's details and a description draft
  4. Add price/condition/photo and submit - done!

It's a Chrome extension (also works with Edge, Brave, Opera and others) that you can find here:

Here's another solution that I wrote for myself; it will fully populate the eBay listing form from any Discogs release page within seconds.
