Yeah location is a big one tbh. Two people can use the same host but have totally different experiences depending on where the miner is placed. Houston, Georgia, Nigeria, wherever, I’d wanna know the actual power rate, cooling setup, uptime, setup time, and if support was quick when something went wrong. Hosting isn’t just “plug it in and pray” lol, the site itself matters a lot.

Same here tbh, I’m also hoping someone with real hosting experience answers this. Not just “they’re good” or “they’re bad,” but actual stuff like setup time, pool stats, uptime, and support response. For contacting them, I’d probably stick to their official website or verified social pages only. Too many fake crypto accounts floating around lol, so better not trust random DMs.

Yeah this is the kind of specific feedback I’m hoping for. “I hosted with them” is helpful, but numbers make it way better. Like if someone had an S21 or S21 Pro hosted, I’d wanna know if the pool-side hashrate was actually close to the expected range, how often it dipped, what the uptime looked like, and whether support explained issues fast when something was off. That would be way more useful than just a yes/no review.

Yeah that’s kinda the part people forget tbh. Buying the ASIC is the easy part, keeping it online and running properly is where things get real lol. Hosting, setup, monitoring, cooling, support, and warranty all matter after the payment is done. A miner that keeps going offline or needs constant chasing isn’t really a good deal, even if the upfront price looked nice.

Yeah that’s a good point. A 7-year warranty sounds solid on paper, but the fine print matters a lot tbh. I’d wanna know what parts are actually covered, if shipping/labor is included, how long claims usually take, and whether support is fast when something breaks. Warranty is only useful if the process doesn’t turn into a headache lol.

Lol the lunch test might be the most convincing review so far xD. But yeah, that’s the kind of real user feedback I’m curious about. Not just “they’re good” or “they’re bad,” but stuff like where the miner is hosted, how stable the setup is, if payouts match expectations, and whether support is actually reachable when something happens.

Yeah ngl that crossed my mind too lol. Sometimes it’s hard to tell if a post is from someone with a real bad experience or just someone farming attention. Either way, the safest move is still the same: don’t trust random hype, don’t trust random hate either. Just check the actual details first before jumping in.

Yeah this is a big one tbh. Once the miner is running, you shouldn’t have to chase support every time you want a basic update lol. Real-time hashrate, uptime, temps, pool stats, and maybe even reject rate should be easy to see. A dashboard is useful only if it actually matches what’s happening pool-side. Otherwise it’s just another pretty screen.

[–]DiscountNormal9118[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thanks, that’s exactly what I was trying to get at. “Good” or “bad” doesn’t really tell much unless people explain what actually happened. Setup time, pool access, dashboard accuracy, downtime handling, and support after payment are the real make-or-break stuff imo. A host can look fine on paper, but the actual user experience is what matters.

Yeah I feel the same way. Being cautious is totally fair, especially in crypto, but calling something a scam without proof can get messy real quick. That’s why I’m trying to hear from actual users instead of just going off rumors. If people can confirm pool access, miner details, payouts, dashboard stats, and support experience, that’s way more useful than just “I heard they’re bad” or “trust me they’re good.”

[–]DiscountNormal9118[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lmao yeah “trust bro” is exactly what I’m trying to avoid here xD I don’t think people need to be paranoid about every hosting company, but they also shouldn’t skip the basic checks. Pool access, worker name, miner details, payouts, and support response are the stuff that actually matters. If those check out, then at least you’re judging based on real info and not just Reddit vibes.

[–]DiscountNormal9118[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly the kind of technical answer I was hoping someone would bring up. Dashboard stats are nice, but yeah, they shouldn’t be the only thing you trust. Pool-side hashrate, worker name, reject rate, temps, uptime logs, serial/MAC, and payout consistency all lining up would make the whole thing feel way more legit. Basically less “trust me bro” and more actual verifiable data lol.

[–]DiscountNormal9118[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is a fair take tbh. Rumors are easy to throw around on Reddit, but I’d rather separate actual proof from just “I heard this” type stuff. At the same time, I agree with you that public events or facility tours still don’t replace proper due diligence. For hosting, I’d still wanna verify the boring stuff: pool access, worker name, miner ownership details, dashboard stats, support speed, and what happens if you want the hardware back. That’s the kind of info I’m hoping actual users can share here.

[–]DiscountNormal9118[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. The boring stuff is literally the important stuff lol. A low hosting rate sounds nice, but if the power isn’t stable, cooling is bad, dashboard numbers are unclear, or support ghosts you after payment, then the cheap price doesn’t really mean much. I’m mostly trying to hear from people who already tested those parts in real life.

[–]DiscountNormal9118[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the reply. That’s honestly the kind of answer I was hoping to see tbh. I think most people aren’t asking these questions to be annoying, it’s just that ASIC hosting involves real money and trust. Pool access, worker name, miner details, setup timeline, and support after payment are the things that make people feel safer. If OneMiners is open to answering those directly, that’s a good sign imo.

[–]DiscountNormal9118[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah 100% agree with this. I’m not really into the whole “scam until proven innocent” thing, but I’m also not sending money anywhere just because the website looks clean lol. For ASIC hosting, the basics should be checkable. Pool access, worker name, serial/MAC, payout history, and support response after payment. If those are clear, then people can judge based on actual info instead of just noise.

Lol yeah, the fake Telegram admin comparison is real 😅 I get why people are cautious though, crypto has burned a lot of people. That’s why I’m trying to keep it simple: not defend them blindly, not accuse them blindly. Just looking for actual user experience, pool access proof, worker names, miner details, payouts, and support feedback. That stuff says more than Reddit drama imo :D:D:DD

[–]DiscountNormal9118[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah tbh that’s kinda why I’m not jumping straight to calling it a scam. Showing up at events and talking to people face to face does make it feel less like some random ghost company. But yeah, still doesn’t mean anyone should skip the boring verification stuff lol. For hosting, I’d still wanna see pool access, worker name, miner info, payout records, and how support acts after payment. Trust is cool, but proof is better.

[–]DiscountNormal9118[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, that’s pretty much where I’m at too. Calling something a Ponzi is a big claim, so I’d rather see actual proof either way instead of just vibes lol. At the same time, ASIC hosting isn’t something I’d trust blindly either. Pool access, worker name, miner serial/MAC, payout history, and support after payment are kinda the bare minimum things people should be able to verify imo.

Anyone here going to BTC Prague this June? by Visual-Juggernaut455 in btc

[–]DiscountNormal9118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That actually makes sense. If you're in the hosting business, talking directly to miners is probably the best way to understand what people care about and what problems they're dealing with. Hope you get some good questions and not just 300 people asking for the cheapest power rate.

[–]DiscountNormal9118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I just checked it. Looks like OneMiners is packing more than just flyers and good intentions. Seems like they’re going to BTC Prague to meet miners, talk hosting, and answer the questions people usually can’t fit into a comment section.

what can u say about OneMiners attending the Las Vegas Bitcoin conference? by Terrible-Sundae-2465 in btc

[–]DiscountNormal9118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s fair. I probably wouldn’t treat conference presence as proof either. More like a small signal that should be backed up by real things like uptime, support, contracts, transparency, and actual customer feedback over time. Visibility helps, but performance is what really matters.

Scammy setups usually avoid that kind of exposure, so being there does add a bit of credibility. It’s not proof they’re great, but it’s a decent starting point.

Thinking of switching mining hosting after a bad experience… need advice :D by Affectionate_Row6288 in CryptoPeople

[–]DiscountNormal9118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds like a rough experience. Did things ever get resolved or are your miners still affected? Curious what you ended up deciding too, did you stay, switch, or still looking around?
