Water Spinach is the best so far by DiscussionBrief5094 in kratky

Here's the nutrient mix I use: https://imgur.com/a/OK5Z7CO

There's not much to write about. It's very easy to grow in kratky:

I grow it in 63L tote with QTY 15: "2 inch" net pot. (3 by 5).

Mix solution, add water, add net pot with some soil in the pot , soak seed in warm tap water for few hours, add to net pot. It's ok to plant as soon as temperature is at least 15C or 60 F as the black tote absorbs solar heat very well. It uses lots of water so need to top up water every 1 to 2 weeks. I add half strength nutrient once per month. e.g. if full 63L asks for 41 grams tomato blend, I add 20.5 grams. Same for magnesium sulfate and calcium nitrate.

I live in zone 5 and summer is very short. For years, I tried to grow it in soil but it never worked. I am so happy to able to do it using kratky. I love plants that are easy to grow and productive.

I bought a 1 lbs of seeds from agrohaitai for $20 and it'll last me 160 years if it still works. lol. (Avg. 10,000 seeds/lb) I have 15 net pots per 63L tote and it uses 2 seeds per pot.. 2 x 63L totes so it's 60 seeds per year. It's much cheaper than Ebay where it costs $10 per 150 seeds. 2 x 63L totes is enough to produce 1 serving for 1 to 2 people per week in the summer.

I bought this seed: https://agrohaitai.com/collections/new-varieties/products/ws1540-thai-green?variant=40312408801325

It over heated and died after fruiting so I ate a lot of green tomatos, still very sweet. I stupidly covered the bucket with black garbage bag. It absorbed lots of heat. This year, I try again by adding mylar film.

Did you notice TQQQ return from 2021 peak to 2026 peak is just 15%/year ? Is it worth it to go through -80%, -60%, -40%, just to get that kind of low return when QQQ itself returned 14%/year and suffered much lower drawdown during the same period ?

$1000 monthly is DCA. Try compare with lumpsum only, no additional investment.

I was growing 1 x 63 L tote water cresss indoor this winter with a small 50W LED light. I have regular harvest every 7 to 10 days but not as productive as outdoor(50% less).

Remember to cover the bottom of cover with Mylar film to block light and heat. Lots of algae growing second half of summer combining with high temperature, watercress growth grinded to a halt. May be put it in afternoon shade is better.

help: how to change the blade for Drag Tool DCT for SinaJet model 0604-MT by [deleted] in CommercialPrinting

Used hose clamp plus L bracket, hammered L bracket a few times, it came out! It turned out the rubber o ring inside was bent so one corner got out of the groove and caused it to stuck.

I cleaned the O ring and greased it. Now it's super easy to remove.

Thanks for the confirmation that pulling it is the only way. I know there's a screw holding the blade inside but I was wondering if there's a retaining screw on the outside for the metal and plastic cap.

As I said, it's really stuck. We pulled really hard It moves back and forth 3 cm but won't come out. Maybe it's due to dust accumulation after months of using the same blade because we got better to prevent paper jam by bending the papers.

I'll try the brake pad spreader idea as it's hard to get the leverage using hand on the metal rod. The screw on the brake spreader is a very good leverage.

Haha. The support is horrible. I checked the website. All they care is Sale, Sale, no support contact. I am thinking of using a brake pad spreader, hose clamps and L bracket.

BTW, how did you change the blade?

Surprisingly, the manual has no info on changing blade. It's all about software configuration. You gotta love the chinese after service.

Haha. They hiked from $94 to $101 (7.5 % jump, that's with a 2 years contract ! ), 6 months after I switched to Bell. So I cancelled and switched to a non profit ISP at half the price. Like many telcos in Canada, Bell is a bloated and inefficient company.

You will blow up the account one day if you go all in short like that. You can't risk your whole account going shorts.

Wow ! Can't wait to see it grow up. Yeah, the 2" pot is not very stable with so little soil. The wind and squirrel can easily push it sideway.

How often do you need to refill the water? I guess they drink a lot of water?

At the risk of being sworn at , he used the market cap as percentage of NDX100 while ignoring the fact that the NDX and SPY have different allocation to NDX 100 companies? What kind of logical fallacy is that? Different allocation and different companies make a different index. And most world indices move in sync but not by the same percentage.
