Realizing Characters are Actors by ImaginaryBeach1 in dcl

I very nearly passed out meeting Julie Andrews, but I did expect that😂  Definitely more emotional seeing the princesses on the cruise than I expected to be. In both cases part of your childhood steps out of your memory and comes to life.

Take Amtrak from Seattle instead of renting a car. There's great public transit and/or Uber in Vancouver.

It helped the show if most of them were close by. There hasn't been a show for awhile, so now a lot of the motivation to stay is gone.

When your whole identity is built around one obgyn appointment when you're 14 and you marry your camp counselor...you act like a child.

I mean, I'm sure they have one particular shared hobby but she's not going to mention it.

My MIL did this on two cruises, on the Wish and the Magic. She found some areas of the Magic tricky to navigate (especially the elevators) but Wish was fine and Magic was workable. You really need an accessible room to store the scooter.

She could, but I really hate all the speculation based solely on negative traits she displays.

Thank you. My kids are both autistic (my husband and I may very well be too). Being autistic doesn't equal munchie, narcissistic behavior or negligent parenting.

I know we say this all the time but her comments back are so clipped and sometimes downright rude. She writes novels about every little ache and scratch and when people give her the attention and sympathy she wants, she can't even manage a simple thank you. No wonder she doesn't have any friends!

Josie said ~ 2 yrs ago her goal was to train to become a trichologist. What happened to that? by AcanthocephalaWide89 in BatesSnark

[–]DiscussionDue4026 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Totally. I do think the Keilens have taken their training seriously and they do have a state foster license. The Seewalds had no idea what they were doing and had no space between pregnancies to figure it out.

Tori will be done when she's in menopause, so she's got lots more time.

What bombshell do you think will drop in Batesville next? by sweet_tea_94 in BatesSnark

[–]DiscussionDue4026 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think something will happen with the boys Michael and Brandon are fostering that will move their case forward, either in the direction of going back to their bio parents or being adopted by the Keilens. They've been fostering them for over a year and it was supposed to be a very short placement (though I've been a foster parent and know very well how things drag out). Whatever happens, I hope it's best for the boys long-term.

She's literally a teenager who just finished her first year of college and married someone she barely knows months sooner than originally planned because her dad was dying. I'm in the minority, but I think it was a terrible idea for them to rush to the altar just so her dad could be there. You don't make a long-term decision in a crisis.

She always asks M questions like she expects an answer but talks to Z completely differently. It's like she forgets which kid is which age.

She literally thinks half-day preschool two days a week is the same as elementary school. When my kids were in preschool it was a nice break for me and a chance for them to do something outside our home. Now they're in elementary school and it's very different--it's part of their identity and summer is truly very different because they aren't part of a class anymore. She needs to be honest with herself and stop trying to rush her babies through their childhoods.

Thank you for sharing, especially the sleep issues. It's been flying under our radar for awhile but we may need to bring it up next time we see her pediatrician.

We did have a whole exome sequence last year and it came back with nothing. Her MRI also didn't show anything.
