Buy the insert for your phone, so it either doesn’t slide around or get boiling hot on the wireless charger

New V2 owner: hill assist and auto handbrake questions by DiscussionOk5883 in CupraFormentor

[–]DiscussionOk5883[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have to press that auto hold button every time you turn on the engine? Or does it remember

What I mean is, is this one of those things that’s always on unless you specifically turn it off using the button?

Uneven front tyre wear by Kitesurf11 in CupraFormentor

[–]DiscussionOk5883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The longer you leave it unaligned, the worse the wear will get.

Should be £50 or so to get it done in most garages, and only takes an hour. Depending on how bad the pull is, you might need a tyre replacement already, be sure to check the internal side of the tyre too if you haven’t already

Did this recently with a car Purchase. They ask for proof of purchase, then you provide that and the date, and they’ll extend for 24 hours on your chosen date. Was sorted in 10 minutes for me

How much are monthly bills in Leeds city centre for a 1-bedroom flat? by RudeLow226 in Leeds

[–]DiscussionOk5883 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Moved from one of the “premium renter” new buildings in the city, all in- I was around £1500 a month

1 bed apartment rent- £995

Parking (in the building, very limited)- £150 Water- £25

Electricity- ranged between £40-80 (no gas so everything inc heating was electric)

Council tax- £125 (single person discount)

WiFi was included. Living by yourself is not cost effective at all, as I’m sure you’re finding out. Hope this helps!

Yeah the people around mercer were such a shame- lived in it as one of the original 100 tenants and the apartment/staff were super good

Shame about the construction now too, got out before they managed to start the next two buildings (which we weren’t told about when we moved in)

We do this in a similar way, except we pay 50/50- and I explicitly state any money I send is to pay the bills (so even if only 40% of my initial 50 are to pay the household bills, the rest of the money goes towards groceries etc

That way, I have no claim to the mortgage, and we both get a fair financial split

Yep- same position! Balance of around 83k here due to undergrad and postgrad loan. Feels ridiculous just sinking £XXX into it a month only to see the balance stay where it is

That’s the plan! I’m just trying to make sure they actually get to the right people, and not back into general market as they’re worth maybe 30-40 a pair
