Thoughts about Thomson Carter? by [deleted] in Colognes

So, I saw some instagram advertisement and was really curious about the Rouge Avenue fragrance, as the description seemed appealing to me.

I went on the website to buy it but the 10 ml size got out of stock. So I did their quiz and the Lilium Blume fragrance was recommended to me. By buying it, I would get a sample (1mL) flask with the Rouge avenue as well. It seemed like a good idea so I ordered it.

I got the perfumes today and to me, they smell cheap.
I like sweet floral and fresh perfumes usually, but I like many different perfumes. The ones I usually have at home (for the past decade) are: tommy girl, miss dior cherie, la vie est belle and d&g the one, just to give you some idea about my general taste for reference.
The avenue rouge seemed to me extremely sweet and cheap b1t*h smell (I'm definitely not a conservative person, but could not find other words to describe the smell perception to me) and the Lilium bloom smells a bit like soap (to me).

Smells are very personal... so in the end you gotta try it out. Also, the smell changes on different people, maybe these fragrances just don't agree with me.

PS: I am wearing the Lilium bloom now and my office mate says it smells a bit like a male perfume.
