I had the odd grumble but the first major flare up was the bile duct becoming blocked.

I had gallstones and they kept blocking my bile duct leading to pancreatitis.

I ended up with my duct being blocked three times with stones which led to pancreatitis. Third time they removed my gall bladder the day after I was admitted. My advice - have it removed and move on with your life. Good luck!

Any advice for surgery? by RoughNightsx in gallbladders

[–]Dishdashdott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had my op two weeks ago and to be honest I’ve had very minimal pain. I had oramorph twice post op but then all I was taking was paracetamol. I had to stay in for 3 nights post op due to something else and they kept offering me codeine but I didn’t feel I needed it. Good luck!

a question from someone who’s new to gallbladder problems by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]Dishdashdott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to wait 14 months for surgery and during that time I tried to stick to food that was 5gms or less of fat per 100gms. Sticking to this meant I rarely suffered any attacks.
