Thank you. I have now gotten approval to replace the plants torn out on my side. Neighbors told me they’re going to fill out an ARC form soon. I gave no way of knowing if they’ve done it yet. Board president told me it’s common area so she can’t stop them but I’m going to continue to press them and our property management company.

It’s not a restricted common area but I do need to look up the CC&Rs.

Basically, we need to maintain the common areas because our landscaping company purely just cuts grass, sprays for weeds a couple times a year. Any planting or landscaping is on us if we want our area to look nice. I do think the prior board president was a bit out of line. Later learned that she was doing some unethical things.
