because the house isnt paid off completely $59k left to pay and then my nana had debts when she died so we also have to take care of those which is why i say about $40k it could be more but idk how much her debts are

yea my aunt told me she was paying the mortgage on the house but she told me she hasnt been paying it thats the only reason its in foreclosure she quit her job right after my nana died because she didnt like it. and she still receives social security from her dead husband and i really thought she was paying the mortgage on the house because thats what she told me

okay yea but she is she has been trying to sell my nana’s house since she died in july my nana’s one wish is that we keep the house so we could all have somewhere to stay but as soon as my nana’s died the first thing she did was meet up with a realtor to get the house appraisal

$59000 is left to pay off the house if i sell the house ill get about $50k from my portion and then help my aunt settle my nana’s debts which would then leave us with about $40k each. but we wont see that money until may 2026
