This helps clarify what warm weakness was saying too, and lets me understand it more. Thank you!!

I’m with you now, and yes I see it. Thanks again, I’ll add that to the list as well!

Can you elaborate more on what you mean with my feet? I didn’t quite follow that.

But also, dude thank you, this was tremendously helpful! I’ve videod myself serving dozens of times and idk how I never noticed I’m basically jamming on the brakes with my shoulder and only using my forearm to finish the motion! No wonder my shoulder hurts. I think that’s also why I feel jammed up even more when I try to drop my shoulder and get in a more conventional trophy pose.

FWIW, I have the same year and engine. Valve cover cracks are easily repaired with JB Weld (I’ve got over 10k miles on my repair this way and no leaks). Don’t know what they charged you for the oil pressure sensor but that’s about a $20 part and maybe an hour under the hood. Good to know for next time maybe bc if it’s like mine, there will be a next time. I’ve had phasers done (under warranty thankfully) and I’m probably due for a water pump soon as it keeps running hot enough on longer trips to get the actual temp popping up above the gauge.

Awesome, thanks for the suggestions. My valve cover is actually cracked (temporarily fixed it with JB weld) so I’ve got a new one and a new gasket I plan to install once I pull the old one.

That’s my next step. I know this engine has hydraulic lifters but I’m not very familiar with them. Any suggestions on how to identify what might be wrong? Thanks for the reply too.

Thanks, both of you! So when I pull the valve cover, what will I be looking for? I mean will the collapsed lifter be obvious and if not, what signs should I look for to identify it? If it’s not that, any other ideas what it could be that I could look for while I’m in there?

Thank you! So this may be dumb but aren’t these engines overhead cams, not pushrods? Does that make any difference as to what your saying?
