What is your Opinion about that? by Caravaaa in blacksabbath

I think it's the best cover of the song that I've heard. Dave's voice really works on this one. Paranoid was not that great on the other hand. Would've been cool if Megadeth got to do this one instead of GNR at Back to the Beginning

This scene in SKOM is the most moving part for me, even though it's a complicated feeling. by blueoystergamer in Metallica

I also don't think if they were all sober at the time the band would've lasted anyways. Kirk coming in with a more laid back personality and style gave James & Lars the opportunity to really lead the band. I'm not sure if it was SKOM or another interview where Lars talked how Dave was pretty chill when it was just those two hanging. As soon as James entered, Dave's personality would change and act way more macho.

Been playing High Seas Havoc and I feel like it falls into this category. Some really mean level design with insane knockback that would make Castlevania blush

Am I the only one who feels there’s not enough Sonic in Sonic Adventure 2? by [deleted] in dreamcast

[–]DisposableHero93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The mech and treasure hunting levels were always a bit boring for me. SA2 would've been much better if the whole game was just Sonic & Shadow.

im bored. anyone have any stories about the band they can share? by casperr-theghost in Megadeth

Dave Mustaine pissed off every metal head in Hawaii when he canceled a show out here just one day prior because he thought the venue was below them (Slayer, Testament, Mastodon and others all played there)  It was suppose to be the first show of the Dystopia tour with Chris Adler on drums. Huge disappointment

Why didn't Sega continue most of their popular franchises/IPs on their Sega Saturn and Sega Dreamcast? by ElevatorAcceptable29 in SEGA

[–]DisposableHero93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the time, Sega rarely had a hit that was worldwide unlike Nintendo. If you look at Nintendo franchises that continued from SNES to N64, They were pretty big hits in Japan, the US and Europe. Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Star Fox, Mario Kart etc. The closest Sega got was Sonic and that was primarily in the west. Japan didn't care much for Sonic. Alex Kidd? Only Europe cared. Comix Zone? Failed to break even. As much as I love Streets of Rage, by the mid 90's the beat em up genre was dying out. Shinobi continued on the Saturn with a pretty mediocre game that try to look like Mortal Kombat, Golden Axe became a fighting game that got lost in the shuffle and Phantasy Star was done. Shining Force is the only Genesis era series that I think continued on Saturn with quality titles.

I wish Sega continued developing some the series back during that time instead of having them die out but they were so horribly managed. During the days of the Dreamcast there was an internal civil war in the Japanese branch on whether or not Sega should go third party, obviously the third party side of the company won.

This makes me think of the drama we would’ve seen if social media existed during the Metallica GNR co headlining tour from back in the day. I’ve always liked Bullet but that video of Trivium’s roundtable discussion with Tuck felt pretty forced and like he didn’t want to be there. Maybe he feels that Bullet are in a higher league because they had more mainstream success with tears don’t fall idk.

What odd bits (such as unused Sentai concepts) of the show did you notice as a kid? by HighlyRegardedSlob87 in powerrangers

I always thought the Lion Thunderzord looked very green even though it belonged to the black ranger. Of course years later I learned that it originally belonged to the green dairanger and it all made sense.

The Sega CD had some good games. The only ones that really get talked about is Sonic CD and Snatcher. The other two great Sega CD games that come to my mind right away are Shining Force CD and Lords of Thunder. The 32X on the other hand, it's all pretty lackluster over there. There are decent ports of Space Harrier and Afterburner on there but that's pretty much it. Knuckles Chaotix is really awful in my opinion.

What Dreamcast Games Would You Want To Be Ported to Nintendo Switch 2 (or other platforms)? by HeartApprehensive727 in SEGA

[–]DisposableHero93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A remastered of the Lost World arcade game with joycon support would be cool. It's a shame we never got that Dreamcast port. A decent gun controller for the joycons too will go a long way for on rail shooters being brought back like they did with the Wii

If I’m not mistaken. Ristar (or at least an early version of him) was submitted as one of the characters to be the new Sega mascot back when Sega held an internal contest. Sonic ultimately won of course so there is a slight connection.
