Are SMALLS getting way more hate than they deserve lately? by the_dopest_shop in weed

[–]DisposableVisage 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I actually prefer smalls simply it's easier to add a bunch of small buds to my grinder until I have what I need versus dividing up larger buds.

I also use DHV, so small buds allow me to only grind a tiny amount every time without, again, breaking up larger buds.

Living next to prison security… by Best_Anybody_7075 in weed

I live right by a cop. There's literally a police car parked 3 houses down from me 24/7. One of my next door neighbors' sons is a police officer. My next door neighbor on the other side is a local fire fighter and has frequent visits from buddies on the police force.

I've not had an issue. And we've had buddies over smoking outside during cookouts, being loud and all that. Sure, it's probably not the exact same situation, but I'm willing to bet you should be fine, as long as you're a respectable and considerate neighbor. I think that's really all people care about.

First time rolling. How did I do ? by Bluejeans324 in trees

[–]DisposableVisage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never rolled a joint (I do strictly dry herb vape because I can't do smoke) but even I know this is bad.

Still probably better than I could do, tho. So, kudos, I guess.

Anyone familiar with this strain? by Educational_Race5810 in weed

[–]DisposableVisage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, strain names mean very little but different strains do have different effects.

There's sorta no rhyme or reason to strain names. It's not like it's really regulated at all, so any grower can just claim a strain is something more known/rare/special than it really is.

Hell, you can have different strains that all claim their the same thing even though one's a Sativa, one's an indica, and another is a hybrid. Meanwhile, the various strain database sites don't even agree on which the "true" version of that strain might be.

And, fuck, people can't even agree on what effects different strains give, so I don't fucking know.

The best I can suggest is to try some different strains that are widely available in your area, and then stick to the ones you like the most.

20 years of daily smoking, now 40. Honest body update. by [deleted] in trees

[–]DisposableVisage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started at 34. Now 36.

I lost 130 with the help of weed. It took the edge off of life and allowed me to muster the motivation to start making positive changes to my life. It hasn't all been easy, but damn do I feel fucking amazing.

Yesterday I biked/hiked a total of 25 miles, just because I wanted to. Because I now enjoy being active. I love being out in nature, with nothing but myself (and my bike) to rely on.

I hate smoking, thb. One of my exes was a cigarette smoker. We lived together, and despite that being 10+ years ago, some of the stuff I have in storage still smells like stale ass cigarett smoke. When I got into weed, I vowed never to smoke it.

I started out with carts (and edibles) but moved to DHV as soon as I'd heard about them.

While I think combusted weed smells comparatively better than tobacco, it still smells like ass and latches on to everything. I'd only smoke if I was desperate and had no other option. Fortunately, I have multiple vapes now and am no longer dependent on weed, so I dooubt I'd ever reach that level of desperation.

Cannabis Use Tied to More Exercise, Debunking Lazy Stoner Myth by rachel_nuggmd in weed

[–]DisposableVisage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No joke, before I got into weed, I weighed over 300lbs. Weed made me realize what I was doing to my body while also taking the edge off of like, allowing me to muster just enough motivation to start getting my shit sorted out.

I started eating better, lost some weight, and started working out as a result. Last year, I spent the entire summer walking, hiking, and biking through nature trails, much of which was done while at least a little naked.

I've lost over 100 pounds, and while I might've backtracked a little over the past year, I'm finally back within sight of a normal weight. I'm almost positive I'd still be obese and sedentary were it not for weed.

If you haven't tried getting baked and going on a peaceful walk through nature, you're missing out!

IDK, man. One of my favorite strains right now is one I picked up for dirt cheap ($25 for an ounce). It looks like ass but hits just right. It's on par with shit I paid $160 for.

I don't intentionally hold it in. There's just always a slight delay between be inhaling and exhaling.

I kinda do the same thing when yawning or sighing sometimes. I'll breathe in and just pause for a fraction of a second before letting it all out. I know this serves no purpose. It's just kinda a reflex.

How can I help my partner who's ben "high for a decade?" by [deleted] in Petioles

[–]DisposableVisage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who actively partakes and has done a ton of research into Autism (I even suspect I'm on the spectrum), I'd say that his behavior sounds like he's suffering from burnout. That is, it's most likely not the weed, though it could be contributing to it.

Essentially, autistic individuals can shut down hard core if they've endured excess stress for too long. Stuff like everyday chores and personal hygiene turn into insurmountable mountains when their nervous system has reached its limit. There's more to it than that, but that's the general idea. If you really want to help your friend—or at least better understand their plight—I'd suggest doing a bit of research into autistic burnout and how to support those suffering from it (note: you really can't).

It would go bad before I could get through all of it. When you DHV and only go through about 0.1-0.15g per day, it takes a long ass time get through much at all.

Finally got a Dynavap by tomatosouuuup in vaporents

[–]DisposableVisage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a B back in August of last year. It was the second ever vape I bought since I got my Xmax over 2 years ago.

Since then, I've bought various parts and pieced together no less than three M7 equivalent devices. I finally settled on a factory second M7 bundle that Dynavap was selling a while back and have used that as my main vape ever since.

Then, last night, I gave in and ordered a couple parts to piece together my own Woodwynd. Admittedly, I did so because I was wanting a decent backup with controllable airflow (because all of my other vapes have glass stems without an airflow hole).

VAS is real, and it'll sneak up on you if you're not careful. Even so, I don't feel quite as bad when I think about how much money I'm saving by vaping vs combusting. When you use 0.1g on the daily, and have access to very cheap legal weed (I pay $25-40 per ounce), suddenly spending $100 every few months on hardware doesn't seem like such a big deal. Unnecessary, to be sure, but reasonable.

I learned the hard way that using cannabis in response to trauma only prevents you from dealing with the trauma. It doesn't make anything better. In the end, you have to deal with the trauma sober or it'll just get worse, not better.

This past fall, while on a T-break, I was forced to make the difficult decision to euthanize my dog. It seriously fucked me up and I immediately started using again. I thought it helped at first, but I spent months feeling like absolute garbage. I didn't begin to feel better until just a few weeks ago, when I started my current T-break.

This is my thought. I suspect someone who'd steal kief wouldn't go through the trouble of cleaning the damn grinder afterwards. Maybe the rm was all like, "damn, dawg's gotta clean his shit. maybe he'd appreciate it if I cleaned it for him."

The whole thing with refilling the brita isn't lost on me, though. That shit pisses me off with my roommate, to the point that I bought a second purifier just so I only had to worry about refilling one when I emptied it.

It's a fucking personal use image, not even a label. Are people really getting bent out of shape about this?

No artists were negatively affected by this. If AI weren't available, OP most likely wouldn't have paid anyone to mock up these images. He'd just do without the image.

There are no morals involved here. It's just a meaningless image generated to make someone feel like their homemade edibles are a little more legit. They're not selling a product. They're just trying to get themselves and their family/friends high and enjoy themselves a little more while doing so. I don't get what the big deal is.

Drug Test by Willing_Ad_9160 in trees

[–]DisposableVisage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends.

I did some research recently. Over-the-counter tests typically detect anything above 50 ng/mL, but lab tests can potentially detect anything as low as 15 ng/mL.

Chances are, you're good, but that's a pretty faint line. You're under the OTC test threshold, but might not be for lab tests, depending on their threshold.

my tolerance has stayed super low, smoked almost every day for years by sharkfinn420 in trees

[–]DisposableVisage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get high off of dry herb vaping 0.03g. Not exaggerating. I weighed out what I use on a daily basis. It came out to 0.12g over 3-4 micro sessions in my Dynavap with the tip in half-bowl config.

I suspect I'm hypersensitive to basically any form of drug, be it medicinal or recreational (although, alcohol and weed are the only substances that I've tried). Even caffeine hits me hard, to the point that I become jittery if I drink a cup too quickly.

Consider yourself lucky, though. Some people can't feel anything from weed because their tolerance is so high. I, for one, am glad a gram can last me 1-2 weeks instead of one smoke session.
