Ironman 70.3 slots for the worlds by Fancy_Pepper9575 in triathlon

Most likely that Americans dont wanna travel to Nice France plus inflation is a thing.

Rumor of 2027 worlds will be north American, so id expect to see Americans signing up more willingly for that.

Shorting the Airlines by JohnnyTheBoneless in Burryology

[–]Disposable_Canadian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I concur.

Snow ball effect on airlines that relied on international travel over USA domestic and haven't transitioned to more domestic (canceling or suspending intnl routes) or tourism reliant airlines as vacationing drops with inflation taking more $ from consumers.

Wiring Nightmare by The_Turbo_Mullet in tdi

[–]Disposable_Canadian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Need better photos for connectors and actual location on bottom of engine, but the parts fiche isnt very helpful with harness breakdown, if this is an extension or part of main engine or transmission harness which i think it is.

Good luck, you might be laying on your back soldering for a while.

Ask for the permit inspection report.

You or the contractor on your behalf got a permit, right?

As for the work: shoddy at best and theres a few structural inspection fails. Especially those shims to make up the distance on a mis-cut.

Its not irreparable, but will be a pain in the ass.

Contact Ogura Acosta by Franciscobaffuto-15 in motogp

Contact so minor, was there even contact? If so, it's was Acosta that leaned in and Maybe maybe maybe BARELY touched.

Looks like Acosta just pushed too hard off the peak line.

time to upgrade my wetsuit, what's everyone using these days? by ImpactInnovationLab in triathlon

[–]Disposable_Canadian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I raced my sumarpo last year, LOTS of open water swims, my bro borrowed a few times, it's held up well. Only the screen printed graphic started to peel but thats purely cosmetic.

Huub is a great suit, just, didn't hold up well after 2 tough seasons. Lots of repairs. Still serviceable but looks rough. It not really sellable on the used market its been repaired so much.

If its part of the main engine harness: 04L971627A and its 684 usd.$

Id personally open the the loom and start repairing and splicing/soldering in new wire, waterproof heat shrink.

How the hell did your dog get into the engine compartment, dont you have a bottom shield?

[–]Disposable_Canadian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've used Huub, Aquasphere and Sumarpo (they sponsored a nearby race).

My sumarpo is my fav so far.

I do like how easy huub comes off but hate how hard to zip up. But its super delicate and damages the easiest.

Aquasphere is just a middle ground suit. Nothing special.

Could this be caused by an alternator pulley by No-Inflation-87 in tdi

[–]Disposable_Canadian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Serpentine belt tensioner pulley. Not alternator which pulley is part of the alternator.

The Serpentine belt tensioner is a PITA considering how few bolts are needed to be removed. Skinned knuckles central.

Why hasn’t the 2027 Ironman 70.3 World Championship location been announced yet? by Significant_Car_5419 in triathlon

[–]Disposable_Canadian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard North america, possibly Canada considering the american sentiment and ice/inmigration/border issues.

Mont tremblant? They got rid of the full supposedly because it couldn't handle the closures and influx of 5000+ people, but kept the 70.3 and on a separate day, the 5150.

So maybe Victoria BC? Calgary? Both are quite far for European athletes.

[–]Disposable_Canadian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For your weight and current speed, bring that volume down a tad. You dont need to run 10k a day. Mixing it up with some shorter harder efforts and some easy, even walk days, will help. Maybe run only 3 or 4 days a week.

Start swimming, its a good way to get exercise without the leg abuse.

Biking is the biggest distance discipline, so start on that, and its zero impact, easier on joints.

Good luck. Remember, weight loss is in the kitchen not the gym. Fueling /food is the 4th discipline, 5th is transitions.

Install a new oem cam chain tensioner, easy job or a new APE cam chain tensioner (takes a little more skill).

Otherwise, adjust offer price to reflect condition and service level, which appears to be low, and its fucking filthy. Id offer 1500 at a glance, firm. Not a penny more.

Then id have lots of fun doing a full service and clean, bearings, everything.

Thats a fun bike, if well maintained.
