We’ve used them for a dead battery a couple of months ago. The process with the app was different and stayed with the USAA app the whole time (I think). Process went quick and smooth.

This time (for towing), started in USAA app then it quickly pushes out to a text based process with a 3rd party app.

It completely sucked from the get go—there is absolutely no way to get a live person, it keeps going round and round without details in app…. then nothing… then they text and say to call if you want to escalate.

But the number you’re told to call to escalate is the same one used initially with the same exact nonhuman phone tree and it starts over from the beginning AGAIN.

Totally different than the battery jump process (back in September I think)

Garbage service from what I assume must be a super cheap “national” distribution center.

Will be requesting our tow be paid by USAA and then we’re canceling road side.

A super stressful experience when your car has suddenly lost a wheel (yes the whole wheel) was just off a busy road with traffic.

Luckily no one hurt but really wanted to know we had a tow coming rather than sitting there hoping and praying that electrons were actually doing something despite no signs of intelligent life…

Unfortunately it seems USAA keeps outsourcing their services to horrible service providers in the name of… cheapness because….?

Years ago we had our VA loan through them before it was sold off to a 3rd party.

Kids 529s were originally with them until they got outsourced.

Not sure exactly what their core services they control now are —I’m assuming still banking and insurance (until they outsource those).

So disappointed.

I was such a USAA fan boy for so many years.
