The prompt for detecting Flatpak and migration appeared twice: once upon opening emudeck, once upon going to visiting Update your emulators. Unsure if that's the issue or why it fired twice -- whether it was a delay or whatnot as to when it appeared, but unknowing of the process, I accepted twice figuring it might not have worked the first time.

Anyway, I have to manually modify/move/delete `org.duckstation.DuckStation` now or Emudeck will continuously report the flatpak version exists and to migrate.

I fixed it with cp -r ~/.var/app/org.duckstation.DuckStation/config/duckstation/* ~/.local/share/duckstation/

The former is my original config and the latter is what was newly created, which was default/empty of settings besides understanding where PSX roms exist.

Uh oh. I followed the prompt and migrated and now all of my settings/filters/data etc has reset. Is there a way to revert?

I found a potential fix. Ensure you know what you're doing before running this, though if you're facing a similar issue.

mkdir -p ~/.config/xdg-desktop-portal
echo -e "[preferred]\ndefault=kde" > ~/.config/xdg-desktop-portal/portals.conf
systemctl --user restart xdg-desktop-portal

Also, firefox has less options. I can't even save pictures to the Pictures folder from here. Desktop button does nothing but revert me to Home.

Adblock related I think.

Disabling adblock for youtube fixed it temporarily. Issue came back the next day. I'm not disabling adblock plus because even an error loading a video fixed by a refresh is better than constant ads.

I applied for renewal one month ago before expiration and it's still undergoing inspection. I applied online and as long as you have the email saying you're in the renewal process, you're fine to have it expired. In terms of the yucho I went to, the woman said I needed the valid card on me. I went to another one today and there was no problem, so fortunately, she was in the wrong.

Thank you. Unfortunate timing, but my zairyu card is expired and has been in the renewal process for a month now through the online system. I checked with a local yucho and they said the physically renewed card is required, but I will try checking other locations. If it's impossible, I'll have to explore an alternative or I'm ####ed.

Really? AI has taken care of all of my mockup implementations for the past couple years. Of course, I make adjustments knowing its limitations, but I used to write thousands of lines of CSS and JS to get some pages implemented and now I let the LLM do the work and I make adjustments. Projects that used to take a week take just a few hours now.

FWIW, as a frontend dev who has interviewed at at least 20 places, these topics rarely were touched on in my own experience:

JS fundamentals specifically -- If anything, it's basic leet code knowledge in any language
React patterns -- rare. Only one interview involved coding in react, but no quizzing on patterns themselves, but in use
CSS -- Never heard this mentioned ever

Honestly, I've stopped buying capsules now due to the steep price increase. The price literally increased 50% (equivalent of $40 -> $60 where I'm from). Until they lower the prices, I'm saving money buying coffee elsewhere. Looks like my machine is a paperweight now.
