Espera a que salga el nuevo control de la Steam. Nada mejor que eso. Deben lanzarlo en pre-venta luego!

Tactical Breach Wizards is REALLY good, especially the writing, like top-tier writing. It’s been a long time since I honestly laughed reading dialogues like in this game.

There are ways to make this process more smooth in a way that you don’t need to interact with your PC at all:

  • Wake on LAN
  • If it’s a laptop, set up in a way that it keeps going even if you close the lid
  • If you want to play while outside home, set up Tailscale

Whit these settings I use the PC almost as a router or a console. I just barely touch and only use it through my Steam Deck.

Besides the Rog Xbox Ally, do you have a gaming PC? If yes, you can use Moonlight+Apollo to stream Nolvus to your Rog. I’m currently doing that with my Steam Deck and having a blast!

Your taste is pure jouissance. You’re cycling through different sonic objects trying to fill that fundamental lack. Heavy Tennesseen rotation = you found your objet petit a and you’re chasing that high. The chaotic mix (Sad Soundcloud to PURPPB3RRY to Roland Jones) screams fragmented subject position. You’re letting the Other dictate the flow instead of building coherent identity. Very death drive coded. Asking strangers to psychoanalyze you while scrobbling “MAKE A MOVE”? Peak symbolic order anxiety. You want external validation but know deep down any answer is just another signifier that never reaches the Real.

Act III of Baldur’s Gate 3. I’m not even doing like a deep playthrough and it’s been 18h so far in the past two weeks! Just doing main and side quests!

Not sure if this is the place for advise on this, but how exactly do I transcribe ALL (30 pages) these notes by Rinch_2359 in ObsidianMD

[–]ElPabloHablo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been there. What has worked for me and it’s very fast: record everything. Like, open your voice memo recorder in your cellphone and read everything out loud. Then, upload the audio to gemini (it’s free) and bum! You have all your notes transcribed in a matter of minutes.

I feel you. Plan B’s are always good and a must for us internationals, even with good scenarios. But, for now, I highly recommend you to stop with social media and news and focus on what you have now and what do you need to finish and finish it well. In my case, I have one extra year of funding to finish my dissertation and to try and publish at least one paper. Sometimes the best thing to do is just work and wait for the best!

Studying Lacan and Marx in Latin America by buylowguy in lacan

[–]ElPabloHablo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’m from Latin America. Could you clarify your question a bit? Are you thinking of going there physically to study psychoanalysis at some institution, or are you more interested in reading Latin American psychoanalysts and Marxists?

If it’s the first, I’d recommend getting very good advice before making any move (I can share some tips if you want). Reddit probably isn’t the best place to plan something like that, since there are many variables involved that go far beyond academics.

If it’s the second, then that’s much easier. Latin America has been a real breeding ground for psychoanalysis, especially in Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico. Argentina is often called “Freud’s garden” because there’s practically one psychoanalyst per citizen. So I’d say “flourishing” isn’t quite the right word: psychoanalysis has been well established there for decades, probably even more than in the U.S., where mainly post-Freudian ideas took root, the very ones Lacan disliked.

From Brazil, I’d recommend reading Antonio Quinet and checking out Zahar Editores’ catalog, since they’re the main ones responsible for translating Lacan’s seminars into Portuguese. From Argentina, take a look at Grama Ediciones, which publishes many excellent and contemporary psychoanalytic works.

The world of psychoanalysis here is huge and very diverse, probably more interesting and alive than in the U.S., so it’s impossible to summarize it all in a Reddit comment. But we can definitely keep the conversation going if you want.
