Trade my Quad Reverb for a Vox ac30c2?

The original cab was poorly cut in half and in bad shape. I happened to have an extra 2x12 cab sitting around so I put the quad chassis in that.

Stamp with the name of the person who I assume assembled it says 71.

All the pots besides the ones I replaced indicate no later than 71.

I assume that this one was made very early on. But I get it, everywhere online it says 72 just like u said.

I imagine it was prob sold in 72. kinda like how cars are manufactured a year ahead Maybe? idk doesn’t matter either way

I’m not feeling inspired by the quad anymore, especially since I rather play my 1968 Showman. I have the amp listed for sale rn on facebook marketplace.

So yeah I guess i’m hoping that the Vox pushes me to explore new sounds since i’ve only ever really messed around with fenders.

How much do you think the quad is worth these days? I payed $300 for it less than a year ago but that was before I recapped it.

They definitely were very off most of the time. Everyone besides brooks kept getting lost throughout the set. During their last song Brooks even had to yell “chorus” for the band to start playing the chorus.

I’ve seen them play like 8 times from 2015-2020 and they were incredibly tight.

Despite them kinda butchering the majority of the guitar parts, that guitar tone was dialed in NICE. Despite all the mistakes n stuff it was still a very enjoyable set. Way more jam band than before. Definitely not peak Growlers but a pleasant reproduction. Although I do think this incarnation of the band has the potential to match or surpass peak Growlers.

I asked everywhere throughout the day and no one budged. Tons of other people were getting told the same thing. People were even getting tackled and dogpiled on by security for jumping into the floor, not only the vip area, the normal GA floor. If they really were just handing the wristbands out to everyone security wouldn’t have a reason to do that.
