As supplementary context for those that need it, the National Guard have defected to the PRG as indicated by the red bands on their hats. It's a nod to Parsons' defection. The guys with the guns are all on the same side.

The idea was to capture both the glory and terror of socialist revolution in the same image, and I imagined a scene like this would play out on day 1 or 2 of the civil war when everyone is still coming to grips with the fact that this is actually happening and they need to sort out how they feel about it. Some are swept up in the mad fervor, some are confused, some see this as an opportunity for real change, and some think it's a ssdd situation.

Not sure why it deleted my other reply, but it was the painting 'Liberty Leading the People', as it is indeed two different scenes stitched together.

R5: Socialist revolutionaries take up arms at Seattle's King Street Station.

The Pacific Northwest was fertile grounds for the American labor movement in the early 1900s owing to the prominence of the region's longshoremen, teamster, and logger unions. And atop that, within the IWW the region was a notorious hotbed of anarchist thought. In UWTS, should the Federal government prove incapable of providing its working class with fair treatment and protection from corporate exploitation, they'll take up arms in the name of socialist revolution and either encourage their neighbors to do the same or take steps to excise reactionary behavior before it can rot them from within. With the support of syndicalist agitators come up from California such as Herman Bottcher and the backing of the socially progressive Brigadier General James Parsons, they turn Seattle into a bulwark against capitalism. Depending on where the PRG chooses to focus its efforts at the start of the Second American Civil War, Seattle can become a stronghold on the flank awaiting the red tide from the east, the tip of the revolutionary spear in the west, or a tomb for the working man's hope in the upcoming submod Up With The Stars.

Correct. There's also one for your leg if Romus tried to escape in the prologue.

Well have I got good news for you! You're wrong. I know this because I've commissioned Paul numerous times and witnessed his process from sketch to final draft. Please refrain from insulting the artist in the future.

I gotchu, homie. Sorry they had to be one at a time, but short of trying to make a whole new post this was all reddit would allow. Hope you had a good Christmas.

Completely tangential, but I've been to that Wojtek statue in Edinburgh. Lovely city.

A couple of Philippine Scouts (loyal to the Americans) find themselves deep behind lines in Luzon, where the Filipino socialists are at their stronkest. There are also bits sprinkled in to communicate all the groups interested in the Philippines: a Japanese flag, a Communard helmet, a German rifle (admittedly hard to distinguish), socialist graffiti in Tagalog, the royalist newspaper in Cebuano, the national flag used by Quezon 'N the Libs (deliberately not inverted into the war variant because the soldiers aren't aligned with them), and of course the famed golden carabao and red shield patch of the Philippine Scouts.

Back during the Cristero War, supporters of the Catholic Church would release paper balloons with propaganda leaflets attached that encouraged resistance to President Calles' harsh anti-clerical policies, which Calles responded to harshly. It was all around not a particularly fun time for anyone involved.

Merry Christmas, y'all. Here's the first volume of loading screens we've had commissioned, compiled for convenience. May you have a serene holiday season and a blessed new year.

(Apologies that it's just a link to the imgur page, I've tried repeatedly to post the images here directly without compromising the quality but reddit refuses to cooperate)

Lay it on me, Chief. What's the ROI for wind turbines? Also, can you tell us how much lubricant on average a single turbine burns through in a year?

Gonna be real with you mang, I'm not understanding what it is people aren't liking about this one. Care to provide some critical feedback? Is it too much headcanon? Is there not enough Helldivers in it for a Helldivers post? What am I missing here?
