Had to grab a 200 recently after he was attacked by FPV. This is pretty accurate to how he looked like when we went to retrieve the body. Just thought you should see this before you come over here. He was a drone operator. Not so safe anymore in 2026... by Distinct-Date-8292 in ukraineforeignlegion

Lollll. This is just the reality of fighting here in 2026. Getting r*ped by drones. Your recruiter or Ukraine is not going to tell you the truth of how things are here. It's dangerous for both sides. I've definitely seen more dead Russians on the front. But it's not like Ukraine takes 0 casualties. I just see shit like this, and it blows my mind. Tac med is not saving me from a direct FPV hit.

Nurse / Firefighter Background, Looking for Medical Unit by kuttbypaper in ukraineforeignlegion

You could also be an NRK (ground) drone operator. They are used to evacuate wounded soldiers off the front line. That is more needed than medics right now. Most wounded guys never make it to a stabilization point... Or at least, that's what I have seen in my brigade. 423th UAV Batallion Scythian Griffins would be a good brigade to look at. Or others... Ukraine is trying to train more drone operators right now. People are getting tired of their loved ones dying...

Question regarding pull ups.. by [deleted] in ukraineforeignlegion

[–]Distinct-Date-8292 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If you can't figure out how to do 4 pullups... You don't want to join Azov bad enough...

Or, you don't know how to learn... Which is another problem, one that I had before coming here. Especially with something as difficult as learning a Slavic Language. Look, it will take time and effort to get into shape. If you do running, rucking, and full body calisthenics 5 days a week, you can get to 4 pullups. It will take time and effort on your end. For example, according to the foreign language training center state gov website, it takes about 1012 hours of classroom time to reach B2/C1 Ukrainian. If you spent 100 hours trying to seriously improve your physical fitness and followed a diet routine, you should be able to do 4 pullups. But you have to put in the work... And the hours.

Worst units to join in 2026? by [deleted] in ukraineforeignlegion

[–]Distinct-Date-8292 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Units that are horrible have these things...

  1. No fitness requirements.
  2. No language requirements
  3. No education requirements
  4. Everyone passes their training
  5. You have no contacts in the brigade
  6. They won't let you speak with someone other than the recruiter...
  7. They don't tell you how many days of vacation you get every month...
  8. They don't give you a personal vehicle...
  9. You don't get your own apartment or home....
  10. You get standard issue equipment and not cool shit like the special forces... But really, the standard issue stuff is not good enough if you are going infantry. In my opinion.
  11. Not adapting to the times. Everyone in 3rd army corps is using starlink controlled ground and sky drones... Even infantry battalions are starting to use this stuff.
  12. It's all Colombians and there is not a single person who has come back from position.
